Value of our young trio of blue liners

I can't think of a time where we've had such amazing young defensemen. Hutton, Tryamkin and Stetcher all look like they have solid NHL careers ahead of them. Obviously I don't think we should trade any of them but I'm curious what everyone thinks their current value is.

Tryamkin looks like an absolute beast in the making.

Stetcher looks like he has a shot at being one of the best offensive dmen this franchise has ever seen.

Hutton, who is currently the most established, might end up being the worst of the 3, which isn't a shot at him at all.

So what do you guys think they're each worth right now and who do you think will turn out to be the best?

It's still early but I'd have to guess that Tryamkin becomes the best of the 3.

Let's hear it!

Erik Gudbranson 24

Ben Hutton 23

Nikita Tryamkin 22

Chris Tanev 26

Troy Stretcher 22

........

Alex Experience Elder 30

What are you getting at... It's a young man's league. The question is really if you think this group will develop and help the team contend. So why are we talking about value and trading them. Patience

Cheers,

I don't want to trade any of them. I'm just curious what people thought their value around the league is or how good of prospects they are. I'm also curious what skillsets people value over others, as they all bring something different to the table.  I'm just comparing the 3 of them. This thread is not about trading any of them.

But would you do it for Kane.....

Went to last Thursday's game to strictly watch Tryamkin. He is incredible live in person. Choppy skater at times but he is moving around a tree out there. Very smart with the puck and will start to get more creative and make the confident play more. Knows when to stay safe.

I just wish Benning would have gotten to work instead of slacking off in his first year at the draft here.

We needed him to capitalize on those early picks and he really let us down.

Still too early too tell. JV is an unfinished project. We don't know the type of player he's going to be.

Also, McCann was the main piece that brought us back Gudbranson.

You're acting like JB drafted Patrik Stefan...

I think he's done just fine as far as drafting goes.

Virtanen needs time, like most young players do and Boeser is coming along nicely.

You also have to give him credit for getting Tryamkin in the 3rd round.

I think he was being sarcastic. We probably should have drafted Nylander, he looked like a sure bet in my opinion... but Virtanen had the size and speed and physicality the organization needed. McCann, Demko and Tryamkin were all good picks. Tryamkin possibly being his best move he's made period.

sarcasm.

Gud

Tryamkin

Virtanen

Demko

(imagine if we'd kept Forsling).

could be one of this franchise's greatest draft years, rivalling 2004 (Schneider, Edler, Hansen) or a few in the late 70s....

Those three are gonna all be studs. But the best defenceman of them all isn't even on the team yet...

Forsling became Sutter.
