Alflives
Just now, Rick Blight said: You said "JB DOES NOT trade for assets at trade deadlines.". He did trade for an asset....how is that a saw-off? Perhaps you meant to say " JB DOES NOT SELL to obtain assets at the trade deadline". Yes, your terminology is better. JB does not sell to get get assets, like picks. On the record I'm not a fan of Baer.
Sean Monahan
We should definitely trade Sutter and Eriksson. It makes so much sense. You're absolutely right, the team is in total disarray and needs to be blown up from the foundation. Everybody gone. Send Willie to the unemployment line, he's useless. This dismantling of the team gives us the perfect reason to finally fire that dickhead Benning too. I love the way you think. And for all of this we'll be totally set up for the future with two first round picks, two seconds, and maybe a 4th/5th rounder plus some surefire, can't-miss C(+?) level prospects. The future is set. The cup will be ours.
TheGuardian_
Trade the Sedins AND Hansen to one team, retain half salaries and take back a contract. This would have to happen AFTER the expansion draft OR to a team with space to protect the Sedins. Or To a team that will lose a player in expansion anyway. There are only about 2 or 3 teams that could do a trade like this. Of course there is nothing stopping trades just before the expansion draft to make space as "conditions" included in any deal. Like trading
smithers joe
the title should have been, trades i wish they would make .. no trades have to be made.
coastal.view
as of today, november 27, no trades have to be made they won 2 of their past 3 games on the road with a roster heavy in ahl players our best present trade would be to replace an ahl player on our roster with a returning recovered from injury player we already have the rights to let's see what this team can do over the next 18 or so games to the half way point of the season then we'll have a better idea of what we have and where this team might be going they are finally playing a bit more consistently

smithers joe
my point was that until a line can take the top line job, the sedins are the best bet to be competitive and lead by example .

Hard to trade assets when there's no demand. This isn't the stock market, or housing market where you flip houses to make a profit. The salary cap makes it difficult to move players who aren't producing in relation to their salary cap. Benning has traded guys like Lack, Bieksa, Kesler. Just because it doesn't happen when YOU want, doesn't mean you can.

If they get moved it'll be next season. What management should do is convince the twins to waive their NMC and then make a deal with Vegas. Leave the twins unprotected so that Vegas can claim one and move the other one for their 1st. The twins get to stay on the west coast and Vegas gets two solid players to start their franchise. We would get a high first and also know who we will lose in the expansion draft. Will Miller sign in Vegas?
