I think it's one of those fair value deals, but no team really gets what they want from it. TML doesn't want to trade JVR, Calgary doesn't want to trade Hamilton. D-Money Posted December 1, 2016 Share Posted December 1, 2016 As for the trade suggestion, with the extension to Gaudreau and the early success of Tkachuk, it doesn't seem to make much sense for the Flames to spend an asset like Hamilton on another LW. Flames have far more assets to move that make more sense and like it or not Hamilton is very very young and only on the upswing under what in 3 years will be a decent contract There's no incentive for them to move him.
