The NHL is on high alert for Dec3 Leafs game.

what a piece of garbage that "expert" TSN panel.  Thanks for stoking the NHL response some more by running a story all one-sided  about the poor poor Leafs who must be protected from those awful words, who cares about the Leafs attacking a rookie, and taking out Hansen, who was then our best player out for weeks, and almost giving Sedin a concussion with a hit to the head. The whole thing is about the terrible threat that Guddy "hollered".  And the league will be in attendance to make sure we don't get our pound of flesh. If we as much as take a gram back they'll be loading up the box.

you do realize that Dreger is Nonis' cousin - and essentially the media relations arm of MLSE?

What Gudbranson said was in the locker room/hallway, reported by Leafs clingon media.

Oh and I distinctly remember the NHL being on "high alert" after the Kadri threat / the next time the Leafs played Calgary.....right.

Kadri was fined $5000 for it.

Is it bias that Guddy wasn't fined then?

The Canucks have been bred to be a passive team and not fight back, nothing will happen this game except maybe we get an extra bad call or two against us and WD will have to ram an extr apiece or two of gum into his face.

WD shifts back and forth so

much where he stands, I wonder if the floor is all worn down

Gudbranson wants Martin, Martin wants Dorsett.

Gud will go after Martin, Martin will avoid and go after the smaller Dorsett. Martin will win.

Nobody on the leafs will will go with Gud, it'll further infuriate him. Hoping he doesn't snap and get a suspension.

Tryamkin is the X factor imo. Will we see the big man play passively, or will he assert himself and be a physical presence? My hope is that Kadri gets confident and and moves lower towards the crease, only to be manhandled by Tryamkin. Not dirty, but not clean either. Establish a pecking order.

I think the team should just be physical to Kadri the whole game, just like a soccer game where the guy yelled a racial slur at the other team's player and had to deal with being kicked in the leg and groin and crotch a million times after that by the whole team.

If the Canucks does nothing, then the whole league will know they can push them around.

They play the game the way they need to. Check hard, score goals and let as few in as possible. If a few gloves hit the ice, so be it.

I just hope they don't turn into a scared, passive team with little heart. If anything, the fans should let Quintel know what they think of his presence. Make him feel unwanted and small. Make his experience unpleasant all game long. Let the media know too, especially the Toronto Sports Network. It's time to embrace the hate again and give it back.

But, alas, the fans will passively accept it, sit and watch a game and nothing will come of it, so the league spits in our faces again and the whole thing blows over until their next chance.

I almost puked at the blatant biased report from those clowns. They usually use a little more discretion but this one was so obvious. Two head shots and a very unevenly matched fight  and they can only complain about a player expressing his displeasure with what ensued on the ice? Then absolutely no suspensions occurred after the fact to make it even worse? "Real Good" reporting fellas.

Martin is a "in your face", hard nose, let's get at it kind of tough player...Martin will bring it, the Canucks tough guys better be bringing it and be in the same mind set as Martin.

I saw Martin go after both the Flames tough guys when he was on the Islanders (was at the game)...Ferlund and Boelig, they (Flames) backed down; however, Martin came after them again and again and started going after their star players...Boelig had no choice but to go after him...Martin wiped the ice with him.

Canuck players have to bring this mind set because Martin still thinks that justice needs to be served from his perspective.
