I used to enjoy going to TSN for Bob McKenzie, not doing that anymore.

Can't give such a bias network the clicks. Their agenda is painfully obvious.

And Sullivan needs to get over himself. Words are words, and while they can cross a line, it's still better than having someone end your career with a cheap shot.

Nice shouts out to The Roxy at the end there.

Would have liked to hear him talk about how players don't "look at the game the same way anymore" in regards to enjoying their time off and presumbably partying. "Keep that stuff secret then you get away with more." Sounds like Paddy boy had some fun in his day.

That coupled with an analyst from 1040, I think it was Ferraro, saying that players like Boeser and Horvat "don't take days off" and that's what he and scouts look for in players these days really makes me think about how these guys are essentially being turned into hockey playing machines. Sucks having fun is something that is frowned upon and needs to be a "secret" in the NHL. It truly does take a lot of dedication to make it these days. Props to guys like Bo, who have that kind of drive. He's a beast of a hockey player but I bet he's a bitch at the bar.

He ain't a bitch on the ice - all I care about - their personal life? Doesn't matter too much to me..

They're playing hockey Mr. Sinatra. The least civilized sport grown-ups can play. It is literally a group of men skating around a frozen ice surface, running into eachother at full speed, slashing, cross-checking and sometimes dropping everything to punch eachother in the face.

Adults are just children who have grown up. Some people take longer than others and some stay childish their whole lives. The fact you jumped straight to trying to insult my intelligence when I raised a valid point proves that.

See, we're clearly not going to agree here because as I stated earlier in this thread I don't believe hockey has to be any less civilized than any other sport. Personally, I believe if the game consisted of, oh y'know, actually playing the game of hockey instead of slashing, cross-checking and punching each other in the face the game would become a lot more creative and exciting. But that would require an entire uprooting of the culture so I guess I'm just gonna have to live with it.

And no adults aren't just children who have grown up, unless they are developmentally challenged. The human brain undergoes vast cognitive changes from childhood to adulthood. Never insulted your intelligence though. Just, "raised a valid point" as you say.

So you're saying Steve Moore should be the one publicly bashing Vancouver?

Okay Sully, time to put on your big boy pants and turn the page, champ.

Let it go, you'll be a better man for it.

I can't speak for everyone, but we're not sorry and don't give a crap what you think everyone thinks about us. Simply - we don't care. So shut up.

Telling someone you don't care so they should shut up is a little self-serving, don't ya think? If you're the one who doesn't care should't you then not even be listening or responding? What about the people who do care about what he has to say? Should they not get to listen all because you allegedly don't care? I think the fact you responded and wished for it stop shows you do care you just didn't like what he was saying.

Guy is so sensitive like a little kid holy...now we know why he's so salty!!! xD

POS describes his immaturity so accurately.

They have to hype up the vancouver hate train before the game with the centre of the universe. &^@# toronto and their media and the biased nhl front office.

That type of game does exist - it's mainly found in Europe though. The uprooting of the culture would apply to the NHL and, as you say, that's never going to happen (or at least not anytime soon).
The thing that sets hockey apart from the other sports in the world (to me at least) is that the players have equal skill and ability to other athletes but they have to be able to deal with the extra stuff. It's a real battle, and only the team that can play through the grind makes it out as champions. We'll agree to disagree though. Have a pleasant evening.

I've seen the same in every city when I get a chance to watch on TV. You're telling me majority of fans in Winnipeg/Edmonton will stay when the team is losing 5-0 in the 3rd period with 5 minutes left and the team not showing up hoping for a miraculous comeback? Same can be said for NFL. Lots of fans leave early once they realize their team is not coming back regardless of how dedicated they are. Doesn't mean they're not true/big fans. Just means they realize that it's not worth watching anymore so they wanna avoid the crowd leaving at the end of the game.

Would you really watching this video say that these fans are more dedicated than the ones that stayed in the building?

This is the kind of insane karmic justice that needs to happen more often.

Whoa champ, why so salty yourself? You seem a little too emotional about the whole thing, is there some sort of attachment thing, or do you feel connected to Sully in some sort of fantastical way?

I genuinely don't care, but I participate in a fun little bubble where we can type words that have absolutely no effect on the real world, it's really pretty fun.

If you can actually remove your sense of self from your internet ego, you won't get all butthurt about other people's opinions or feel the need to be some sort of lunch monitor and hope you can impress your set of morals on the degenerates.

Don't cry for me Ol Blue Eyes, the contrast of bloodshot and tears on the baby blues just melt my heart

No I'm saying there will be less fans leaving any other Canadian team when they're down 3-2 or 4-2 with 5 minutes left in the third. But, I could also say there will be more fans in Winnipeg when the Jets are down 5-0 than there will be in Vancouver with the Canucks down 5-0. Now that might just be because WHO THE F WANTS TO GO OUTSIDE IN WINNIPEG but hey, makes it look like they care about their team right? Also like I said before our traffic SUCKS and we have other things to do, I get why people leave early, but it would be denial or ignorance to not accept the fact that Vancouver has the flakiest Canadian fan base.  When was the last time you went to a Canucks game or any other NHL game?

Not really. When it's 3-2 or 4-2 with 5 mins left in the 3rd, many fans do stay most of the time. But if it's obvious the Canucks aren't gonna generate anything and haven't all night, why would you stay? Funny you should ask because the last Canucks game I went to was just last night against the Ducks. Why are you questioning my loyalty? Never said Canucks fans have the flakiest fanbase. I know we do. The most fairweather fanbase in all of the Canadian markets.

I remember that. Just goes to show never leave early. You paid good money for those tickets why leave? Any knowledgeable NBA fan would know that 30 seconds left in the game only down by 6 doesn't mean it's over. 30 seconds in the NBA is an eternity and anything can happen whereas in hockey, 30 seconds left down by a goal or two doesn't guarantee a tied game.

You missed his point. Point is - Mr. Moore isn't a little baby running around crying about something that happened ages ago. He's moved on.

So we think.

But if we're going to allow Salty Sully to be relevant by being a bitter brat, Moore might just decide to host a third rate radio show too. I doubt anyone wants that. At least Sully was a really good hockey player for a while

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say i guess you wouldn't have liked the hockey back when the broad street bullies played,  hockey has alway been a sport watched  by passionate fans , trash talking between rivals sounds new to you ,i for one like this trash talk ,it should serve as a wake up call for our fans , hopefully our team as well. todays game is about as watered down as i want to see it. so after reading all of your posts I'm confused , you don't like that we the fans don't like some washed up player trash talking the team and its fans ? and you don't like the current state of the game because of the cross checking ,slashing , and punching? you need to start watching something else if the game and its fans offend you.

Everyone has baggage. Everyone has issues and has had terrible things happen to them in their lives. What happened with Patrick and his father is really unfortunate. But it just goes to show what a mewling idiot he is that he has to use it like a shield so nobody can say anything negative about him or he loses his mind. Its classic victim culture, and the fact that he still has such a mind boggling hatred for Vancouver over some admittedly callous remarks really tells more about him than anything else. He's a wuss. He can't even stand up for himself on twitter, just resorts to instant blocking. He'll push and prod but can't handle it when anyone pushes back.
