(Proposal) Montreal-Colorado-Canucks

To Montreal: Edler

                     Hansen

                     Virtanen

To Canucks: Pacioretty

                     17' 2nd Round Pick

Canucks are trading from a  position of strength with how Stecher and Tryamkin are coming along. We also have Juolevi in the pipeline. Rumors are Montreal are looking to move Pacioretty and are looking for help on D. Virtanen is going the other way while Hansen can play up and down Montreal's lineup.

To Colorado: Tanev

To Canucks: Landeskog

Again, trading from position of strength. Colorado could use the help on D and with Landeskog coming back our way we get more scoring. Hall is a better scorer than Landeskog while Tanev is a better Dman than Larson, so why not. Maybe we get a pick coming back our way.

Lineup:

Landeskog-Horvat-Pacioretty

Sedin-Sedin-Eriksson

Baertschi-Sutter-Granlund

Burrows-Gaunce-Dorsett

Tryamkin-Stecher

Hutton-Gudbranson

Sbisa-Larsen

You're probably wondering about cap space, but with Burrows contract up at the end of they year and resigned at a far lower cap hit, as well as Millers coming off the books we could make this work. The following year the Sedins come off their contracts and we sign them to a 2 year contract around 5 mil each, that saves us another 4 mil. Even if we lose Granlund or Baertschi in the expansion again we still have Boeser in the pipeline. These trades would put us right back into contention for the foreseeable future, couple that with Bennings drafting and the future looks bright. We would probably still need to sign a D or two via free agency/college for depth.

What do you guys think could these trades work, if not what would make them work. Discuss and/or bash.

Not rumour. That was Friedman wondering if he would be better off with a change of venue. Regardless. With the injury to Galchenyuk Pacioretty isn't going  anywhere. And if the do move him it will be for someone if equal value. Edler is out long term again and has become  more and more injury prone. Hansens speed would mesh nicely with Montreal but the have I don't see where he fits in their lineup. Virtanen does nothing to help them short term. If Pacioretty moves it'll be for someone like Fowler.

massive overpayment for pacioretty seriously   not a chance in hell benning moves 3 pieces for him.  hansen at deadlines worth a late first  edlers worth more at their cheap salaries. Virtanen is a 20 yr old stud whos developing in utica hes going nowhere.

That's the kind of value it's going to take to get a guy like Pacioretty.

There seems to be lots of proposals for Landeskog and Pacioretty. How about we just go for Crosby?

To Pittsburgh:

Sedin 50% retained

Sedin 50% retained

Hansen

Edler

1st round pick

2nd round pick

3rd round pick

To Vancouver:

Crosby

Fleury

Then...

To Detroit:

Miller

To Vancouver:

2nd round pick

3rd round pick

Then after that...

To Florida:

Tanev

To Vancouver:
