Warhippy
Actually I know Ben. Very well he stepped down as is his right. he was then given a position with the BC Trade Federation and has done a lot of good in pushing BC wines and exports to Asian markets. He's a solid guy but hey, you can always drink you Napa Valley chuck if you're so outraged right?

You know the position is a corrupt SCAM when they do not even replace him when he is finished his term. LOL >>>>>> Tax payers ripped off / sold out so this guy can go sell his overpriced crummy Plonk in Asia...... He stepped down willingly and offered his position and riding to her which she STILL had to run in in a by-election. What's sickening is your unreasoning hatred without 0 information other than surface dirt. His position WILL be terminated and replaced by group meetings held via electronic or digital interface meetings between groups in Asia and here in BC as opposed to having people on staff in other countries. it helps to actually read or learn about what you're whining about. As well, it shows how little you know calling quails gate crummy and overpriced. It's a Canadian benchmark for vintners excellence is currently unsurpassed in northern markets. As well he was shilling for EVERY winery in Bc and Canada as well as every other business in BC Until you actually start learning what you're whining about go sit in a corner. I say this as someone who loathes the BC Liberals but loathes ignorance even more

Disgusting. Thank you West-side Kelowna voters . Another good reason to never drink BC Qual's Gate wines..... Former Westside-Kelowna MLA Ben Stewart is wrapping up his three-year assignment as B.C. trade representative in Asia at the end of the year, and it's not clear when or if he will be replaced. Stewart has been based in Beijing since being appointed to the post after the 2013 B.C. election. He was re-elected but resigned his legislature seat to give Premier Christy Clark a place to run after she was defeated in Vancouver-Point Grey. Stewart is returning to his family business in the Okanagan, which includes Quail's Gate winery in West Kelowna. Yes, how dare he promote BC trade overseas and help grow a BC based industry. The gall. I've had enough discussions with you to know you are completely clueless when it comes to how business is done. But my guess is if this was Horgan or whoever teh PC guy is today sending his buddy overseas you'd be saying this is how things should be done. Great reward for handing over you seat to Chrusty. 3 year paid junket to ASIA - all paid by BC taxpayer. Heh, while you are in ASIA - you might as well just try to promote / sell your own company ..... Just more reason for me to not give my dollars to support Plonk from the Okanagan - Quails Gate. Where did I say she lived in kelowna again? Can you point that out to me please. Hey while in Asia DOING YOUR JOB might as well try to sell part of the business you STEPPED DOWN FROM to work for the best interests of BC. Oh wait, you didfn't know Ben absolved himself of his business to take the position in order to head off any possible conflict of interest issues? But...but but but you know so much how did you not know this? Oh ya, must be from all of that reading you do. Please, don't support the Okanagan. We're not big on ignorance here, now go show me where I said Clark lived in kelowna or the Westbank area. I'll wait.

While I don't support Clark or the Liberals. I also don't support ignorance. Much like the US presidential thread, I started off railing against trump, but then people like KoS came in and I had to fact check them every step of the way in essence defending trump. Now I am going to have to do the same here for the Clark Liberals....kinda sucks. But cannot let clownish mouth pieces have their say without checking them

There's enough posted here that if the BC Liberals and / or Ben Stewart wanted to launch a defamation of character suit on KoS, they'd probably win. You don't need to back the BC Liberals, the troll gets its due, everyone goes home to a happy ending.

She's really dropped the ball on things like mental health, education, DTES development, etc. but I do like jobs and exporting. BC has some amazing potential all across the province, and the current crop of NDP scares me re: supporting development. Now, if someone like Gregor Robertson ran for the NDP I would have to really sit down and figure that one out, he's been a very good promoter of Vancouver business and diversification. But as it stands to me there's very little choice. I'll always vote for the party that I think will create the most jobs for BC.

Look at it this way - if you could have the premier representing Surrey, but they happened to be from Burnaby or 108 Mile, would you really care or would you be happy about the potential benefits to Surrey? Very important for me to have local representation. I would never ever consider voting for someone not living in my riding. Seems like opportunism for someone to run in a riding they don't live in. I am surprised it is even allowed....
