Baertschi leading the Canucks with 2.2 points per 60 minutes, followed by Bo with 2.17 points per 60 minutes.

Baer with .57 points per game (this includes a slow start) which puts him on pace for about 47 points this season.  If he keeps the upward trajectory a 50 point season becomes very possible.  That puts him into top 6 territory.

JB looking good for trading a second rounder for Baer right now.  Odds are stacked against the second rounder becoming a regular NHLer let alone making a parallel impact to Baer.

Yes. I guess Willie may have a method to his madness at least from a defensive standpoint.

Lidster will be in charge of D pairings unless Willy over rules a match up that he doesn't like. The two assistant coaches should be in charge of game match ups unless over-ruled by Willy. Pre-game match ups are dictated by the head coach. Game adjustments are Head Coach.

Hansen has a limited No-trade too doesnt he? That means Winnipeg might be a destination of choice to reunite with his relatives & wife's family, or a contender? I'd still prefer to keep him, tho' thanks,...he's still getting better. When the Sedins hang 'em up,..Hansen will clearly be the best 'Pro' role-model for the forwards on the team.

it would be nice to keep him but right now with the state of the team and his age its in our best interest to explore trade options for him wile he still has high value. Unfortunate? yes. but its the right move for the long term.

The Canucks' most attractive exposed players will probably be Sbisa and Granlund (I think Hansen and Baertschi are kept).

Baertschi has been playing a lot better lately but I'd keep Sbisa over him at this point. D men have more value and Sbisa is playing 23 mins a night.

Statistically yes, but Andersson's been doing very well in his first year as a pro -- 16 points in 25 games and +14, as a d-man.  Looks like it may be a win-win trade.

Can only protect 3Ds.  It's not between Sbisa and Baer but between Sbisa and the other Ds (namely Gudbranson, Tanev, Edler, Biega, Pedan, Nilsson)
and Baer vs Granlund for the final F spot.

I dont know how much stock you can put in those AHL numbers, I mean linden vey is leading that team in scoring.  I will believe it when I see it at the NHL level!

I wonder if there is any possibility of us being able to protect 4 d-men with Gudbranson falling into the criteria below....

Players with potential career-ending injuries who have missed more than the previous 60 consecutive games (or who otherwise have been confirmed to have a career-threatening injury) may not be used to satisfy a club's player exposure requirements, unless approval is received from the NHL. Such players also may be deemed exempt from selection by the League.

Unless the deals are ridiculously in our favour, Tanev and Hanson are Canucks. This years draft isn't even close to the last two years.
