Quotes via Russo in the Star Tribune

Boudreau: "It’s not the Super Bowl, it’s not the Stanley Cup. It’s Game 36," Boudreau said. "It’s got a good, little storyline, but that’s all it is. … I hope that’s the way they’re taking it.”

vs Tortorella:

"We know there’s a streak, we know there’s a streak over there. I’m glad we're going to have an opportunity to play in this type of game."

"I want our guys to revel in it."

Well Columbus pulled it out and now are 2 away from tying the record.

They play Edmonton on the 3rd at home. They play January 5th against Washington on the road to tie the record. They play New York at home on the 7th for the record.

They definitely have a chance as far as I see it.

....What record....

Use your words.

17 "reg wins"  Hawks 20+ wins to start a season.

Needs more info

Hawks had 3 ties in their "20+" win start. The record was for getting points in 20 straight.

17-0-3

Pittsburgh had 2 OT wins in their 17 game winning streak so that's not completely regulation either, not that I think that matters when 2 points are 2 points.

Well, good for Columbus. Thursday should be interesting.

It should be.  I see Washington being a tough game for them to win with Washington being at home.  Considering I've lost  a lot of interest in the NHL since the Canucks suck and our rather boring to watch, I'm rooting for Columbus. May even watch the game.
