Anton Rodin | RW/LW

Those numbers are pretty inaccurate and often prove quite outdated. For example, they have Justin Courtnall at 6'2, 185 (which, if memory serves, is about where he was when he was drafted in 2007), when the current college sites have him at 6'3", and between 205 and 210 lbs:

Rodin looks to be bigger (in recent photos) than what that chart has him listed at.

Random story that doesn't fit this conversation. Justin was playing for the Victoria Grizzlies BCHL team. 3 years ago Powell River Kings (where I'm from) were playing them in the second round of the playoff's the same year that Jeff Courtnall was their coach. I was working security for game 6 in PR and Russ Courtnall came as well to watch them play, well they lost that game pretty bad and during the 3rd period Russ started screaming and threatening one of the kings players who hit Justin pretty hard so I had to kick him out. He started yelling at me saying "I'm f'n Russ Courtnall you can't throw me out you piece of country trash etc.... Pretty good times.

P.s. Justin was a pretty good player, really fast and loved to hit... I have no idea how he is now though....

3. Young Tendons Should Not be Overstressed

When tendonitis develops before bones have matured, the results can affect the future growth of the bone. This is why it is important for young athletes to avoid over-taxing tendons before growth plates have closed. This is the reason that Little Leaguers are admonished to "not throw curve balls."

Doubt this is much of a concern for a guy Rodin's age, but if this has been going on for a while, hopefully he won't be more susceptible to shoulder injuries in the future.

What I take from this news is this - "Rodin has seen several specialists and it's believed the tendinitis will go away, although there is no timetable"

He is such a talent and still so young that he will hopefully, as the experts say, get past this issue and continue on to be a star in the NHL. Anton can be a top line NHL player with his talent. I believe the Canucks knew about this issue when they drafted him, and they still almost took him in the first round. This could be a reason he slid a little bit to mid-round 2, teams knowing of this issue. Really hope he can play in AHL this year.

The big question is whether he is wearing his skates in this interview or not. From the interview, it looks like there is one skate hanging on the left of him, but I don't know if they are his.

Anyways, compared his interview with Honzik and B. Tanev's, and it looks like Rodin is about 6'2" with his skates on, so probably stands around at almost 6'1".

Tanev is an inch taller than the interviewer, and he's supposed to be just a shade under 6'0", according to Dave Gagner. And Honzik is 6'2", and looks to be as tall as Rodin is in his interview, which is impossible, because Rodin is not 6'2"...So, he must be still wearing his skates and stand at 6'1" tall without them.

Or maybe he grew to be 6'2" 2utgv3d.gif

LOL 99% sure he didn't. Would be nice though.

I'm not sure why they would interview him with his skates on... it's not like they didn't have time to let him take it off (plus it's usually the 1st piece of equipment that comes off after the helmet and gloves, unless they get dressed/undressed different in sweden)

reports from last year was that rodin was around 6'1". it wouldn't be unheard of that he grew another inch.
