Kokanee king
We are 7 games above 500 at home and 7 game below 500 on the road. This make no sense to me unless this is a coaching issue and only a coach issue. What do you guys think? is it a player issue or a coaching staff issue? Beeekz37
Maybe our building is starting to bring fear back to our opponents...? Doubtful this year, I know, but other than coaching, what else can you truly blame it on?

JM_
Willie's road record is pretty bad, and I don't think you can lay it all on not having the last change. Willie's made a lot of mysterious line moves that have made for easier match-ups imo. My guess is the more he uses Bo on the o-zone the better our road record is, but I don't have the stats to back that one up.

JM_
I think the current D pairings and Willie using Bo and Loui on the PP together in the last few games will improve the road record. If he sticks with that it will improve.
Aardvark
Maybe the players actually like the quiet stadium that so many people whine about. All that noise at the other stadiums throws their game off. I voted for the players. The coaching staff isn't on the ice and thus does not have a direct impact on the game. Why have coaches there at all? Suit up or get off the ice ya dinguses.

Nuxfanabroad
This is where I like the twins split. On the road, makes for a deeper, more flexible lineup. At home, where match-ups are easier to control(& reffing not so blatantly-biased), you keep'em together more.
IBatch
I made an identical thread ( my first one this season btw) and it was locked soon after. My point was that when they get the last change things go much better ... Which does indicate that the coaching staff can influence the outcome when they have more control. When they don't ... Things don't go as well. To me it means the coaching staff could be overachieving at home and they get exposed on the road. I don't think the team on paper is a contender. They play like one at home...But perhaps the true colors show on the road. So I don't expect a miracle to occur and that their road record will start mirroring our home record. The longer the coaching staff can keep pulling it off at home the more I will believe in them.

At the very least it could give the opposition fits trying to match lines and throw them off their game plan. Together they are past predictable... Separated they both have proved ability to shine while the other is injured. I agree that it is a viable option. Could breathe some new life into them too. Or maybe they fall flat on their faces. No real harm in giving it a three game try out.

Canucks players have evolved an immunity after years of exposure. But it still affects the opposition. Also explains the underwhelming performances of key new additions like Eriksson and Gudbranson. They just haven't had enough time to evolve and become immune to the effects.
ruilin96
Our horrendous road record pretty much came from the stretch of games in our 6 game eastern road trip (in the midst of our 9 game losing streak) and at the time we had an injured defensive core along side of bad puck luck. Also most teams we face on the road thus far had been really good teams, that is also another factor we have to take into consideration.

Your theory would make sense for Guddy and Loui though.... although I know thats not it haha
Type R
I feel its everyone. One thing this team lacks on the road is belief, and its the polar opposite of last year. For whatever reason, when they are down a goal (especially in the third) they have break downs and then lose confidence, and ultimately the game. This team has had some tremendous faith in itself the last couple weeks (since Carolina), and they have tangled with some decent teams as well. I think if they can start the next road trip with a win, we may see a different result for the trip.
