SilentSam
Tittle says it all boys and girls,. Maybe we add a prospect like Subban if we need to.. But I think the Knights and GM McPhee might be very interested in solidifying a good, proven goaltender to build their franchise from, rather than take a chance on what seems to be a dull roar year for drafting. Markstrom is solid, and Demko is tapping the goal posts to position himself next season. Miller would be closer to home (L.A.) and family. Something where everyone could be happy.. how about you? DeltaSwede
Yupp, Or they could wait for a couple of days and send him and his agent a contract offer instead of giving up their first ever draft pick. Good proposal though, would love it if the Knights do this. I'll even include Jayson Megna if they ask nicely. Maybe.
Tre Mac
Jesus Christ man you cannot be serious. This is comical on so many levels, the first being that Miller is a UFA and Vegas could sign him for free. Second being is Miller is no where near the value of a 3rd rounder let alone the first overall pick.

mll
Per expansion rules, Vegas also needs to pick up 3 goalies in the expansion draft. Teams can only protect one goalie.

Secondly- Miller is and has been playing better than a chance at a 3rd rounder,. let alone one caught up in some other system.

On the contrary Goalie13, If you bring players in on discussions like this.. it's pragmatic and professional. You would think that discussions would be taking place with Miller here soon, just because of his situation. If I were Miller, I would be knocking on JB's door, trying to do what I can for myself and the team. Hopefully players and management learned from the Hamhuis situation. Kokanee king
miller for a first, WTF. plus all the other guys that think edler will get a 1st, we would be in great shape if that would go down i don't even think we will protect miller LV is more likely interested in Fleury, if they trade for a goalie. If it's such a great scenario, why does it never happen? What is Miller's motivation to re-sign just to get traded, when he can control the situation and just sign there himself (assuming Vegas even wants him in the first place)? I feel that if there are discussions with Miller it will be about an extension to stay, maybe only for another year.

ForsbergTheGreat
Why trade for a goalie when there will be some decent goalies available in expansion. Bishop, Fleury, Elliot, Neimi and even Miller are available and will cost them no assets. Why trade a top 5 pick for a player that you can have for free? Miller would sign for the security of having a place to play that he is familiar with, and not a situation of the insecurity outside of that as a UFA. Chances are he wants to stay on the West Coast for personal reasons.. Vancouver can garauntee that. If he signs for 1 or 2 more years here, he could leave more movement options open to himself with the club for that to happen over signing any where else.. if something, somewhere else is available. That is the control a UFA in Millers position would enjoy.. he is past his money making years.
