We would lose for sure, but it would give our young kids a taste of what real competitive hockey actually feels like. Draft picks are overrated and Benning has shown he can find good players outside of the draft so I am not worried. We would lose in 4 games. If not, then 5 games. Meh rather just miss playoffs and get a higher pick.
Beeekz37
I don'tthink even WD seen this coming. Loving how the defence has been playing and Miller has been unbelievable! I do hope if we are out of it by deadline day, that Miller is still playing lights out hockey and we can get a decent return on him.

If we go to round 2 and lose, we get an even worse draft pick than if we lose in round 1. But 2 rounds is worth it? Where do you draw the line? I should also point out that using that logic the 1994 Canucks should have given up and not bothered with playoffs
Curt
Making the playoffs is important to keep the interest of the fans. Drafting 10th or 16th doesn't make any difference IMHO if your recruiting staff is competent.

Curt
Also by making the playoffs the team will generate millions of dollars of additional income that they can use to sign a free agent.

Ours isn't, and for the most part has never been over the years except for maybe Burke

Canucks have temporarily moved into sole position of the 8th spot (wild card) after tonight's win. WOOO. We're 41 games, exactly half way through the season. Go canucks go! I +'d you for positivity but if we lose tomorrow I'm blaming the creation of this thread.

Bruce Boudreau
Notify everyone when they actually beat good teams like Nashville and Philly. 41 more games too go. Plenty of time for more injuries and the bottom to fall out like last year.
