Trudeau is walking a fine line so he will slip up occasionally, but he is trying to do the right thing for the country with the pipelines, so I am happy with him. The same goes for Notley. Typical Canadian politics...vote in the party which doesn't support your views and they will spend their whole term trying to win you over. What did Harper accomplish....not much. No carbon tax, lowered taxes, Governed during the worst recession in nearly a century and kept Canada financially stable while the U.S, Britain, Italy, France, etc all experienced huge debt and or austerity. Didn't alienate parts of the Country. But that's a debate for another thread.

But on topic...saving foreign investors from making losing investments in the Oil sands and the failure to push through the pipelines were disappointments for me. Disappointments for me as well but we live in a funny country. Sure Chretien did leave the economy in good shape, however Harper lowered taxes while governing through that recession. He wasn't perfect but he doesn't get the credit he deserves. There are other things he did I liked but I'm not getting into it.
