It's not a significant difference but I think that Granny deserves a B+.

Sbisa at only a C means whoever made these rankings hasn't really watched any of our games.

I think a C means an adequate 3rd pairing defenseman, which is what Sbisa has turned into this year.  No?

Yes, team statistics matter.  Not save percentage, Corsi, etc., but PP, PK, OT.

The surprises for me:

1. Horvat is the number one centre on this team... remember when he was supposed to be #3? (this was just last year.)

2. Granlund is like a bumblebee: no way he should be able to fly, but he does.

3. Sbisa is much improved and Tryamkin, and Stetcher are bona fide regulars.  Who knew?

4. Sedins have slipped a lot in one year.  We knew this had to happen, but this soon, and so precipitously? (If I were friends of theirs, I would consider suggesting retirement to them at the end of the season.)

5. Sutter has been as good as advertised.  It would seem that his injury last year really was that detrimental to the team.

6. The fourth line led by Skille has had moments, but Skille, Megna, and Chaput will be in Utica or elsewhere by next year.

7.  Gaunce is very lately improving.  Needs to go to the Horvat school of power skating.

Obviously grades from someone that doesn't actually follow this team - or doesn't have a clue.

Baertschi hasn't earned it.  Granlund has been better on the whole - grades should be reversed, but the kids like the shiny ones.

The Hansen grade is absurd - he was the team's best player - hands down - before injury - unless he's getting docked for attendance (report cards like this are stupid)

What would you expect from a Canucksarmy kinda guy though - not gonna admit how wrong they were about Sbisa, who has been excellent stepping up in the absence of all the top 4 D.  Sutter likewise - 'analtyics' guys are wounded that these guys have punked them.

Anyone that grades Tanev a C should try a different profession.

Literally the biggest homer in all of broadcasting and that's a "reputable source"..?...Oh man the kool-aid courses through your veins doesn't it..?

What? John Garrett is without a doubt one of the most honest men on TV. He's a legend. His only problem is that he's too honest and the old boys club doesn't like that.

Regardless of the letter grades, its nice to see Jim was right about this team being in the mix for a playoff spot. If we can stay relatively healthy from here on out and get lucky with Boucher, we might get to see Bo get some 1st round experience.

health is the key, since depth is not there. If they have Hansen, the forward group and lines will look better. Same with D, without Gud and Hutton, the group is taxed too much for every player.

there is a reason WD is hard on playing D for every player. They can't win otherwise. They don't have the horses. If Miller can stay sharp, there is always a chance.

At least this time around he won't be on the 4th line like the round against Calgary lol
