Weber is playing for Nashville and Bart is back with Boston's affiliate what's you point. They often played well for us. sounds like Willies mom could educate you when it comes to hockey.

The rest of your post is your usual immature rubbish.

When we were in a playoff chase, sure.  I agree play your best line up.

But why continue to play those two players, you know are going to be gone in the summer, after canucks were officially eliminated.  Most teams use that time to get AHL players NHL experince and get a head start on next years training camp.

While you're at it you could do us all a favor and ban yourself as well. The world would be a better place.

You Willie lovers can't handle reality so expect some more hard facts

You are probably yet another "fan" that can't skate or has never played the game thus has no independent opinion related to game

@Twilight Sparkle beat me to it.

Both papers ran the caption in their online editions:

http://bc.ctvnews.ca/mobile/newspapers-apologize-for-referring-to-canuck-as-dark-guy-1.2022078

The caption originated from Steve Bosch, longtime PNG photographer, who had included the "dark guy in the middle" descriptor with the image.

The explanation was that the caption was intended for internal use only (to "help a staff member identify Subban" in the photo) and wasn't meant to have been published.

Pretty weak excuse and kind of misses the point. Identifying Subban as "the dark guy" was the main issue here. The paper saying that the intent was to only use the caption internally doesn't make it any better. Almost makes it worse.

Off topic from hockey:

Anytime someone gets overheard saying something they shouldn't it's labelled "locker room" talk. Alot of the time I feel people are way too sensitive though.

If I was in a "where's waldo" style picture with all dark skinned people, and I was identified as the person with fair skin (the waldo of the picture)..Would that not be an accurate way to identify me? Which skin tone is supposed to be offended in that scenario? Is it still inappropriate to say the I'm the person who doesn't have dark skin? Or can you not mention skin colour because it's "racist"?

To me this situation is giving power to something that shouldn't have any. Yes, saying the player in the middle would be enough to indentify Subban in that picture. But apologizing for saying "the dark guy"...In my opinion, indirectly equates having dark skin as a negative thing. The colour of someones skin doesn't matter so why would saying he has dark skin, which he does, be controversial. He has darker skin. Who cares. I have lighter skin. Who cares. Some people have reallyyyyyyy fair skin and my skin is darker compared to their skin. Who cares.

The only problem I have with it is it reads like a page out of Clifford the big Red dog.

The biggest problem isn't dark or light skin, it's the thin skinned whiners. They're the problem.

When are people going to realise IT'S ALL ABOUT THE TEAM.

We have pages and pages about Rodin (despite being injured in his first game back) Boucher who although it is too early to judge him has little in his past to justify such a fuss and now Subban, a D who is so flawed when it comes to defending we may as well play him in the forwards, we might get a better result.

While Rodin is certainly a class player and I was looking forward to watching him play, the other 2 are makeweights/place holders and don't come near to justifying the attacks on the coach and management who are actually focussed on getting into the playoffs not throwing the dice on these guys and probably ruining team and line chemistry.

Do people not realise how long it took to get this team playing competitively? Now that we are up and running there is no way I want to see these guys get into this team unless there are injuries.

There are injuries.

Do they really though?

Willie is a winner and he probably didn't have your crystal ball to tell him they going to be eliminated. The bottom line is I don't trust CDC's assessment of  players as far as I could spit. You can't sign in on here without idiots telling you this player or that player is useless. Well the truth is it is these posters who are ignorant imo.

There are too many idiotic agendas on here to trust most of what gets said about players, coaches or management, add to that most of them just rehash what the ignorant jackals of the press and media say and you have the "disrespect" that percolates through these boards.

Weber has 274 NHL games and Bartowski 211, you don't get that many games if you are useless, there are too many alternatives available.

I have said it before and I will repeat it. It is up to young players to wait and fight their way into the team, I don't really care if they can or not as long as the team is winning. I support the club not any individual players, most of who are transient anyway.

Look at the trade threads on here. Last season Hutton was the "second coming, now just because he has had a bit of a slump posters are queueing up to trade him.

Yes. They do. JB even called up the players for that to happen WD just sat them.  Look at the roster the leafs finished with last year. Same with the flames.

Why did he need a crystal ball? We were officially eliminated from playoffs march 25th. Those are the meaningless games that you get to try things out you don't get the opportunity to when your in the middle of a race. Flames brought up shinkaruk and put him on the first line with johnny and Sean just to try it out. There's no risk to trying things out when the team is out of playoffs. Might as well get a head start on the next year.

Who cares about there stats. It's not rocket science to see they weren't going to be resigned. All we did is help them showcase thems selfs for the rest of the league when we should have been showcasing our own young players.  In those types of games bringing up those young players gives the team more compete. They know they are fighting for a roster the next season so the give it their all to impress mgmt.

Shows how little you know about anything.  Mindboggling that you keep at it though.

Well CDC would be a better place. To make the world a better place, he would need to ban himself from the world. Which is an appealing thought, but maybe a bit excessive. He is obviously immature, ignorant and obnoxious, but probably not actually evil.

Whenever a scumbag says a despicable thing, there is always another scumbag waiting to defend him/her.

Where's the so-called pc line? How far back do the fascist scum want to take things. Do they want to be able to attack and beat people who are different. Or is verbal bullying the new line. Teach our children not to bully while adults do it on a regular basis? I guess the new trump era is in full swing!

You missed the point.

There was no one worth putting in the line up. Everybody that had a possibility of improving the team performance was playing at the end and as for anyone else who cares? - if they can't help the team win then they need to work on their game - they owe it to their team mates and the fans.
