(Proposal) sign ZACH ASTON-REESE

Recommended Posts

Hello cdc...

We've all witnessed the college free agent dynamo Troy Stecher. But today listening to tsn Craig button mentioned another college free agent stand out...

Zach Aston-Reese

This guys got talent, he's a 22 year old centre/Right wing forward playing for North eastern university. Hes 6 ft 205 pounds. He's got 21 goals and 18 assists in 22 games.

Button seems to gush about him and he also mentions that he's a teammate of Adam Gaudette. Don't think they play on the same line. Seems like their teams 1-2 punch down the middle.

So what do u think?

With the addition, potential new roster additions next season could be Boeser Aston-Reese gaudette virtanen and juolevi. Wow we are getting younger and better!!!

P.s.

Button also mentioned that gaudette seems like a solid b prospect and that lockwood also looks outstanding.

I've looked this kid up a couple times to follow his stat line this season and it sounds like he'd be a dynamo signing for us. Hopefully college free agents take note of the success that Hutton and Stetcher have had signing with the Canucks straight out of college

Seems this kid just is getting better and better. Would definitely be worth a signing.

I've been banging the drum on signing Aston-Reese for a couple years now. Hopefully summer 2017 it finally happens. Although I'd expect there'll be a few teams interested but maybe the Gaudette connection, our other NCAA prospects, potential opportunities on a rebuilding team, and the example of the successful transition a guy like Stecher made as a rookie pro signee will all work in our favour.

Hopefully Benning has been saving contract slots to be very active in "free prospects" type free agency moves this summer (in addition to signing some of our drafted properties to their ELCs). Aston-Reese would be a great addition to the pool.
