Trebreh
Gudbranson brings the meanness and Tryamkin brings the physical intimidation. If Pedan can develop into a serviceable bottom 6 defenceman for us no fool would dare crash the crease.

billabong
It's a loaded question. guddy has heart, grit and leadership that you can't teach. Tryamkin doesn't have that to his game. BUT tryamkin has a higher ceiling of potential. Tram is more mobile which is gonna be crucial with the game continuing to get faster every year. on that note. I would be very hesitant to go long term with guddy considering he might have foot speed issues down the road. 3 years max around 4m edler-stetcher tryamkin-tanev hutton-gudbranson healthy top 6 for next year. No room for sbisa. Trade him and his 3.6m cap hit for a pick. You can't deny he's having a career year right now. Trade him while he's hot
xereau
We are going to keep both. We are probably going to see at some point this season, a D moved for a medium/high end forward prospect.

Looking ahead at the rest of the games it seems like we have a very good chance of playing .500 or a bit better, except for 1 team. There are 5 games with San Jose left and that is the make or break problem imo for making the playoffs. We've shown we can hold our own or beat the other teams but this ain't Colorado or Arizona. Luckily there are 3 home games and only 2 road games against them.
appleboy
It is not a fair comparison. Guddy is a more physical type of player and even though Tryamkin is a big boy he looks to have way more offensive upside then a lot of people thought. I would like to see them both here for a long time. Canuck management would be wise to lock Tryamkin down for at least 3 year deal because after that they may need to break the bank to keep him. Tryamkin looks like he could have first line potential. They do need to be careful with how much they pay Guddy and length of term. Also, not hand out ntc clauses. Ossi Vaananen
I think the real question is who do we expose in the expansion draft - Gudbranson or Sbisa? Sbisa is looking like a legit top 4, while Gudbranson has been suspect at times, and is going to miss the majority of the season with injury. Can only protect 3 of: Edler Tanev Gudbranson Sbisa

Chris_P
I can't answer that because I really like both guys and I think they both bring something really good to the table. Gudbranson has more of a Mean Streak but both are beasts when it comes to playing physical.
SilentSam
Both ! These 2 will line up in the short future, on our 1-2 D lines to partner the skill set of Stetcher, Joulevi, Tanev, or some one else. Any one know how Mceneny's game is in Utica? The kid might prove to be another great find by JB and his confidante's.
By sea and land
Gotta keep them both. Lots of teams if not most want size and mobility on their back end. It's a nice problem to have when these players possess both size with mobility. Our D going forward should excite a lot of fans. Great job Benning on signing Stecher, drafting Tryamkin in 3rd, drafting Juolevi and trading for Gudbranson.
