I would like to see Pedan with Tram for a game or two. Two physical players on the same defensive pairing.

Ohhh that would be a different team back there. Wow Minny was skating back there so easily. They looked like those hoodlums that jump over the store counters on you tube. Taking what ever they wanted and getting to the front of the net.

I guess Benning wants to give his experiment with Larsen a few more games... but lets face it, the guy has been underwhelming.

No physical presence... and his goal scoring touch has disappeared with the move back to the big leagues.

Defensively he has been tentative... the 6-3 goal vs the Wild was a perfect example, he should have been hard on his stick and on puck... but he wasn't.

Biega is not going to set the league on fire offensively but he will fight hard in the D-Zone and brings a significant physical presence despite his lack of size.  Also has more speed than Larsen.

I don't like being negative about any Canuck bc I want to support them but yes, Larsen had a tough night.

Anyone think Hansen might like to play in Anaheim and try for a Cup run this year?  I'd love to get Shea Theodore from them.

If we trade a defenceman like rumours suggest we will, then we will need depth d-men like him. Our young guys in Utica can come in when they're ready instead of forcing them in due to injury.

If only larsen were ready :(

I can't believe it is Willie's idea to keep playing Larsen. For a start he doesn't seem a Willie type of player - too many mistakes, too soft and lacks compete.

I just don't think Willie would drop Biega for a guy like Larsen.

But if he is selecting him without pressure then I have to ask  - If we are trying to get into the playoffs, who in their right mind could even imagine Larsen as a playoff player?

That's a shot of Larsen being too chicken$#@& to take the body of the on coming forward ala welcome mat to our crease--Weber style.

If you notice after the play Larsen goes to offer to wipe the opposing forwards blades off afterwards with a fresh towel..

Character guy, I see why Benning drafted him.

I counted at least 4 times in last night's game where Larsen straight up gave the puck away to Minnesota.  One where he went to the Canucks corner and blindly slaps it back to the blue line right to the Wild defenseman which then centered it to Parise.

Larsen has some skill and truly is border line really good.  He just isn't quite as fast or good as Erik Karlsson but he plays the same small fast D man style (weak in D zone, good at transition).  Since he can't quite put up huge numbers, his defensive weakness is glaring.  I am sure the Canucks brass see this same as everyone else, but the only way to get anything back for him is to play him and hope he has a few good games before the deadline and a team that needs some puck moving depth shows interest.  keeping him in the press box means that we get nothing for him and he takes up roster spot and cap space.  I am certain he will not be back next year, if he is even playing by the end of the year.
