1. 3/10 I think Kanye's music is about as awesome as gum stuck to the bottom of my shoe...it won't ruin my day, but I sure don't want it hanging around long.

2. 5/10 I think the wurlitzer swirl on the synth is a bit much, doesn't give the song enough cohesion.

3. 3/10 Yes, finally some super auto-tune drenched vocals for the whole song...always the mark of a talented artist. It's like ketchup people, you use a little for flavour, a lot for the sugar if you're a child.

4. 6/10 I've heard this band a few times, this track isn't one of my favs, but it's not without its charm.

5. 4/10 No melody on the vocals, super bland & boring rap.

6. 5/10 I dig this tune a bit, but it also suffers from monotony.

7. 6/10 Catchy chorus.

8. 7.5/10 Cool song with some fun pop elements neatly stuffed in an indie rock sound.

9. 8/10 Yeah, some 90's hip-hop. Hits me right in the feels.

10. 7/10 Fun melodies fo' sho.

11. 4/10 This kinda rhyme stylin' puts me to sleep faster then 3rd period French.

I feel like this playlist could've used a bit more rap and/or hip-hop. The genre was very under-represented.

I'm gonna guess...Jazz?

This was me lol. Totally understand the score for the Travis Scott one. I don't even like autotune-heavy trap stuff, but I just really enjoyed that one haha.

My Review of the mix I recieved:

1. Noname- Casket Pretty   2/5

I think that it's kind of a catchy song, but not one that I would listen to on a constant basis. Nice song for chilling though

2.Vince Staples- Street Punks   4/5

I really like this beat, could probably see this being blasted in my car. Most likely look into this artist

3. Samiyam, Earl Sweatshirt - Mirror    2/5

A little too slow for my liking, it's another one of those chill songs. Most likely a song that stoners like

4.Kali Uchis- Loner    2/5

I think this song could be good if I needed to relax, but I'm a more energetic person, so I really can't enjoy a song like this like I should

5.Surf Curse- Freaks    4/5

I enjoy upbeat songs like this, and could see myself gaming out listening to something like this

6.Homeshake- Making a fool of you  3/5

Sounds like something that you would hear at a hip cafe sipping on overpriced coffee

7.Mac DeMarco- Without Me   4/5

I always enjoy a good acoustic song now and then, almost lulls one to sleep

8.XXXTENTACION- RUN UP ON ME 4.5/5

Almost gave me a heart attack switching from last song to this one, will probably use this song to wake myself if I need to write a paper

9.Injury Reserve ft. Cakes da Killa- What's Goodie  4/5

I like the bass and the beat, love music like this. Extremely catchy

10.Danny Brown- When it Rain    3/5

Not sure what to fully think of this song. For sure it has something different than what I usually listen to. Could bump to this

11.Ho99o9- Da Blue N***a from Hell Boy    1/5

Sounds like a mix between Metal and Rap. Not a fan of songs like this

12.Death Grips- Takyon    2/5

This song would probably be pretty good to listen to while playing shooter games, beat is not too bad

13.MF DOOM- GAZILLION EAR    4/5

I quite enjoy this kind of rap from time to time. nice beat and nice rhymes.

14.XXXTENTACION- I spoke to the devil in Miami, he said everything would be fine    4/5

Sounds like an apologetic rap or something to seem sad. Never really hear songs like this nowadays. Its nice for a change

15.Trash Talk- Awake    1/5

Hardcore punk really isn't my choice of music, mainly because I can't understand them.

I have no clue whose mix I got, but all in all, i enjoyed listening to it

Nothing But Thieves - Trip Switch

Nothing really stuck out to me on this. Instrumentals were fine and vocals were kind of meh. Originally thought this was about some sort of infidelity with the first and third verses, but apparently it's about addiction to technology or something. Anyway, not bad, but pretty forgettable.

Tame Impala - Cause I'm a Man

Okay, so anybody who has been in these mix exchanges knows that I love Tame Impala. I thought Currents was a good album, but had some bad tracks for his standard. This was one of them. Bassline and production are good enough, but I just find it so drab and dreary. Hoping for less of this on Kevin's next project.

The Cult - Rain

Run of the mill 80's rock song. Nothing bad here, but nothing great. Guitars were decent enough and vocals were fine. Didn't mind listening to it, but I wouldn't really listen again.

Judas Priest - Caviar and Meths

Thought these guys were super edgy so I expected a real thrasher. Pleasantly surprised to have gotten a calmer instrumental. Guitars and drums were pretty okay, but again, it's nothing I'd ever really listen to again.

Simple Minds - All the Things She Said

Another very 80's song. Fun riff. Nothing of note, lyrically. Pretty catchy overall though.

Alannah Myles - Black Velvet

An okay country rock song. I don't know who Alannah Myles is, but she has a nice voice. Didn't really know what this song was about. At first I guessed she was singing about her song, but with the help of the internet, they say it was about Elvis. Once again, nothing I'd listen to again.

6.5/10

Chris Isaak - Wicked Game

First thought I had was that I knew this from Friends at some point. Did my research and I was correct. Still find it pretty boring though.

Tears for Fears - Head Over Heels

Pretty simple romance song. Liked the keyboard and other instruments enough. Once again, nothing really special to me.

Eddie Money - Two Tickets to Paradise

Really liked the energy shown in the chorus and the solo. Fun guitars and drums. Decent.

Hall & Oates - Out of Touch

Good stuff. Nice vocals and instrumentals. Just a fun pop song.

Overall: 5.5/10

Pretty bored with most of it. Nothing really noteworthy to me. Only song I'd really listen to again were the last two. Apparently a lot of these songs were featured in GTA games, so that's fun. Sorry I didn't have much to say about your songs. I just found them kind of boring.

I'll just shoot in the dark and guess Rubik

I wish I got this mix, I love lots of these songs!

Mix Review:

Childish Gambino - Me and Your Mama: 8/10

Good song. I really liked his new direction on this album and this was easily one of the best songs. Production is real good. Donald's sing is pretty good here but I especially like the backing female vocals in the hook.

Francis and the Lights ft Bon Iver - Friends: 7/10

This is good but didn't do as much for me as I'd hoped. For some reason I don't like the vocals from Francis and the lights all that much.

Kings of Leon - Reverend: 6/10: Ok song but I've heard it way too many times by now. I mean it is definitely catchy but not something I want to be listening to anymore.

Who Tells Your Story - The Roots, Common, Ingrid Michaelson: 9/10

Hadn't heard anything off this Mixtape or seen the musical before but I really enjoyed this song. Love the female vocals on the hook. Common's rapping is also nice on this. Just an all round great sounding song.

Imagine Dragons - Shots: 5/10

Not a bad song the first 20 times I heard it. I guess it's a pretty fun and catchy song but I mean it's repetitive and it's already worn out its welcome on me imo.

Bobby Brown - Every Little Step: 8/10

This is a fun song; good remix too. Haven't listened to much Bobby Brown but I do like some of the hits. Definitely like the last third of the song with the hip hop/rap - I don't think that's from the original song but it works well.

Kanye West - Paranoid: 9.5/10

One of my favourite Kanye songs. Have to blast the speakers when this is on. Kid Cudi on the hook is great and the synths in this are phenomenal.

Frank Ocean - Godspeed: 7.5/10

I loved Blond but this is an interest choice for a mix. Kinda seems like the type of song the only works well when you're listening to the entire album. It's a slow song that's not anything exciting but the vocals are strong and emotional from Frank so it's definitely still a good song.

Chance the Rapper - Finish Line/ Drown: 9/10

LOL I got this song on my last mix. Definitely still love it though. In the first part I love the rapping from Chance and the choir sounding "Do-do-do-do" is great. I think I like the second half even more with the verse from Noname and that chorus. Lyrics on this song are also really strong imo.

RTJ - Report to Shareholders/Kill Your Masters: 8.5/10

Probably one of my favourites off RTJ3. Both parts are great in their own right but that last part gets me going - so good. And obviously the rapping and production on this is superb.

Solid mix, Jazz. Thanks!
