A player reaching 1,000 points in their NHL career is a pretty special accomplishment applauded by fans and players alike. Henrik Sedin recently hit the 1,000-point milestone and received a special congratulatory message from Logan Couture right before a faceoff.

 

Some accomplishments transcend any rivalries and competitions. That’s a special moment and fans are lucky it was captured

Logan Couture really respects the Sedins, especially Henrik. I remember a time when he wrote an article about his 5 favorite centers in the game and Hank was on there. Couture is just a stand up good guy. This video makes me happy. Rivals on the ice, but doesn't mean you can't show respect.

Thank you. I find it hard to believe that anyone can truly dislike the Sedins as people. They're just quiet, humble, stand up genuine good guys who go out and try to lead by example day in, day out. Never the fastest, strongest, best shot, etc, but they just put the work in and find ways to be effective. Probably why they got along so well with Alex Burrows.

Haha, now I suppose I gotta like this guy a bit more now.

Annoys the crap out of me with his diving, but the fact he shows the Sedins respect where a lot of his peers act like juveniles - props to Couture.  This is more important to me than disliking his on-ice antics.

I agree 100%. Changed the way I look at Couture. Compared to the other division rivals I really don't hate the sharks as much as say the Kings or Flames.
