Early - mid 2nd round pick, he was probably on the list. We seem to do okay when we listen to Gradin, so I'm on board.

peaches5
I think there is more to this trade no way burrows alone got this return.

Dahlen was a solid second round pick who has continued to progress like a solid 2nd round pick. So getting him is pretty much the equivalent of getting a second round pick. That is a pretty good return for Burrows. Dahlen is a small high skill guy. Won't contribute to the physical game or the speed game, but he might be able to score. Would expect to see him in Utica next year.
Provost
I wonder how much input Crawford had on this. some familiarity is always good

I wonder if Benning seen him play when he was recently in Europe? For sure, that was probably a big part of it. I'm pumped. Getting this guy into the AHL as an under 20 player will be a big part of his development too. Utica fans should be ecstatic.

Can't wait to hear Alf's thoughts on the Canucks getting his son... ;-) On a more serious note, the kid's got some speed and skill and scoring so I'm happy. CRAZY_4_NAZZY
Don't be surprised at the draft the Canucks draft Elias Pettersson. Plays on same team as Dahlen.
Shaft
Why would Ottawa give up a pretty good prospect for a much older player?
cuporbust
Jonathan Dahlen had 5 goals and one assist in 7 world junior games last year. Could be good
Canada Hockey Place
Good trade. Not even signed to an ELC yet. Thank you Burrows. As always great timing playing your best.
3KBieksa
No mood to discuss the trade. Just want to say: Thank you Burr for the last 12 years! I grew up watching him, sedins, bieksa and BMO line and its hard to accept he is also gone

orcasgonewild
This is a great trade by benning. Jonathan dahlin has B+ rating and they say he could but up 60 points at the nhl level. IMO he's a super skilled forward putting up almost point per game in Finland. In gonna miss Burrows tho he was my hero
Down by the River
Bennington! This is way better than a late 2017 2nd in a weaker draft.
