This doesn't mean anything. He wasn't drafted out of the CHL, therefore, he could play in the AHL at any time.

BananaMash
I actually really like the value we got in this trade a lot. I love Burrows, but Dahlen is no slouch. He's got great offensive skill.
LaBamba
A small piece of me hates that we burned Ott for Burrows sake. It's going to take a lot to make them forget.
I'myourhuckleberry
Thank you Burrows for the great memories you gave us, will definitely tune into Sens games to watch you play, was there to see you slay the dragon, now hopefully you can continue to do so in the East, the Sens are heating up. Benning what a shrewd move, for awhile there you lost some of us, but oh man, you brought some excitement to an otherwise dreary Canucks day. Will we take a smaller skilled center now or go for the big winger? There are some nice centres from the 3rd to 12th positions this year. We should be able to snatch one of them. Yeah I would go with a centre. Size is not that huge a factor right now.
Frogger009
While it's a good trade, some perspective here. Button doesn't even have him on his Top 50 outside the NHL list, meaning he considers him below Boeser, Juolevi and Gaudette. Also he has him as Ottawa's 5th best prospect outside the NHL. This could end up being a great trade but maybe need to temper expectations and not expect the next Naslund or something.
Apricot
Burrows OT winner in game 6 of the SCF for Ottawa to win the cup. Calling it right now.

I'd say he did OK for an undrafted ECHL callup. Good on him, good for him, good for us in the return. Go Ottawa Go. Damn rights he did well. Goes to show if you have the heart and drive to make it to the show. Good things will happen. Gonna miss my fav player. So much respect for my man Burr. He knows what this team means to him and he knows he can help get them back to where they want to be by trading him. He just made my decision on what is a must game to attend next year. Great deal really for a player that fits nicely and is a year closer to ready. Couldn't have asked more. Burrows delivers in the clutch yet again This! Hopefully we will be thanking Burrows for years to come.

brian42
I'd like to see Dahlen playing with Virtanen next year in Utica. Then we will have an idea if they can make the jump to the NHL the following year.
DeNiro
1 minute ago, 2011 said: Burrows was arguably one game 7 away from being a Conn Smyth winner. Teams remember that. If Ottawa can get 3 playoff performances out of Burrows this trade will look better for them (or even 1 good playoff push). Burrows has a proven history of being a playoff performer, Hansen does not. Don't be too surprised if Hansen doesn't get back a better return than a 2nd rounder. And lets acknowledge that this is what Dahlen is - a 2nd round pick. Its not the giant robbery that everybody thinks it is. Heck 24 hours ago I bet 95% of the people on this board didn't even know who Dahlen was. Now all the sudden he's the next greatest thing since sliced bread. Typical overhype of prospects here in Vancouver. Don't miss read me. I like this trade. But lets just see it as a 2nd round pick for now, and expect something similar for Hansen. Except that was almost 6 years ago. Love Burrows but he has been trending downwards for some time. I don't think he has that kind of performance left in him.

Burrows delivers in the clutch yet again Ottawa didn't have a second round pick this year to give, so this is as close it gets (Dahlen was a 2nd round pick for them last year). I like to think this is Burrows last gift for us Canucks fans.

Dr. Crossbar
We just filled one of our "future young scoring winger" holes in the roster. Nice work by Benning. Better than I expected. Sad to see Burr go but glad he had a great season and landed on his feet to extend his career.

Nuxfanabroad
Possible explanation: Benning has incriminating photos of a younger Dorion working at a sheep farm, for a summer way down in New Zealand?...
