Neversummer
Appreciate Burrows taking one for the team and waiving. Good for him to get a 2 year $5M extension!
Bandwagon38
“A superb offensive player with a knack for goal-scoring, Dahlen has four goals in his past two playoff games as Timra fights for promotion to the top-tier SHL. Ulf Dahlen’s son boasts sick hands, great creativity, and a sharp release.” – Ryan Kennedy, The Hockey News *** “Dahlén is a constant threat for defenders with his great vision, agility, puck skills and quick and accurate wrist shot. He developed greatly during this season and I think he can be a surprise first round pick that turns out well.” – Jimmy Hamrin, Hockey Prospectus Thank-you Benning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Button doesn't even have him on his Top 50 outside the NHL list, meaning he considers him below Boeser, Juolevi and Gaudette. Also he has him as Ottawa's 5th best prospect outside the NHL. This could end up being a great trade but maybe need to temper expectations and not expect the next Naslund or something. The skills are all there, size is a little short, but he isn't afraid to go to the dirty areas and fight. The only thing I keep reading about his is skating technique, it's a little off, but he's producing, I don't see a problem fixing this one issue if it's really a problem. Heck 24 hours ago I bet 95% of the people on this board didn't even know who Dahlen was. Now all the sudden he's the next greatest thing since sliced bread. Typical overhype of prospects here in Vancouver. For the evidence contrary to this, all you have to do is look at whats happening on the Ottawa board. It's already been posted here. They are IRATE. Imagine if we traded away Boeser for a 36 year old vet. That's what's happening over there. This was hands down an unbelievable deal for us. I like to think this is Burrows last gift for us Canucks fans. He could score the GWG against the bruins this year knocking them out of the playoffs on April 6th when Ottawa plays them. The gift that gives again.

Roger Neilsons Towel
Mixed emotions. Fantastic trade but sad to see Burrows go. He was a warrior for this franchise and will always be the dragon-slayer that got us past Chicago! All the best Burr! Heart of a Canuck! Guess I'll be cheering for Ottawa come Playoff time! Hell of a trade by Benning getting us a top prospect in Dahlen! Ottawa got fleeced! Let the rebuild continue! https://www.nhl.com/canucks/news/canucks-acquire-jonathan-dahlen/c-287185024
