[Trade] Canucks trade Alex Burrows to Senators for Jonathan Dahlen

Recommended Posts

Never would I ever have believed this kind of return was possible for Alex Burrows in 2017. Fantastic work by Jimbo.

Burr is a warrior. Gotta thank him for his years of service, but this is a very young player coming back with a ton of upside.

This isn't Erat for Forsberg, but it's exactly what the doctor ordered for the Nucks.

Man, Burr will go down as one of the greats to wear blue. One of the biggest hearts to lace up the skates, and then waives to help us progress and move forward by giving us an amazing prospect. Happy for the guy, glad he got another extension and gets to continue playing for a couple more years.

Thanks Burr, on behave of every Van Fan I sincerely hope you all the best. Good luck winning a cup, you deserve it.

WELCOME TO BLUE DAHLEN!!!

There could have been a small bidding war for burrows , he does offer good pk minutes , 5on5 with playoff exp. plus he puts his body on the line for the W .

I said this earlier when some here were saying we must be adding a pick,

There was talk Chicago was in on him too so that no doubt sweetened the pot for us - big time.

Thank you Burrows for your tireless service heart an determination.

You are the gift that keeps on giving.

kudos Jim

So her we are again I thought yesterday we could do something with Ottawa as they are a desperate team to make play offs An our TDL parts would fit nice there.

hopefully UlFs kid can join club in 24 months ready to go do some damage in NHL.

Congratulations Burr!!!  Getting a two year extension as well.

So sad to see you go though. Ottawa is not the first team I think of when I think of a Stanley Cup winner but ya never know....now that they have the Dragon Slayer on board!

JB has actually been doing what HE said he was going to do from day #1. Only problem U & your friends don't understand that it takes time & patience. And when U compare us to Toronto or Edmonton it really shows your lack of NOLEDGE...

He has been trying to do what the owners wanted and done good considering. However if they had of let him blow it all up three years ago we would probably be miles ahead of where we are now. ( our system would be full) I  really doubt this approach was Bennings idea.

You have your way of looking at it and I have mine.

We  agree on one thing and that is that Benning is a good GM. Lets just leave it at that.
