Don't care enough to even go look. And he might very well clear.

I'd imagine he'd be not dissimilar to our own Boucher though. Some team who can afford to have him on their roster (whether by injury or other circumstance) will gamble that maybe he's a late bloomer, need a change of scenery etc and his skill will translate. And if not, they just throw him back on waivers when he's no longer required.

The big question for teams that might select him is who they can put him with to take advantage of his qualities.  Well, this guy is not exactly what you are looking, but:

“It was Oct. 3, 2010 when the Florida Panthers decided Michael Grabner wasn't worth a roster spot and placed the 22-year-old on waivers.

Two days later -- on Grabner's birthday -- the New York Islanders claimed him, and he's been the gift that keeps on giving this season.

Grabner is 12th in the NHL and leads all rookies with 31 goals. He has 22 goals in his last 32 games and is a major contender for the Calder Trophy with 48 points, second among rookies behind Carolina's Jeff Skinner, who has 53.”

Pronman has been irrelevant for a couple years now. I'm not convinced he actually watches these players anymore...

Look at Dahlen's skating. He has a powerful stride.

Not the highest top speed, but digs his feet in.

This was the reasoning behind giving Goldy a long look and why I believe that he should be kept over journeyman players who have underperformed... I am looking at Gagner and Eriksson.

We could waive a Goldy at the end of Camp next year, ala Florida and Grabner, only to see him preform well in another club.

Hopefully he will be prepared and just take a spot, but I don’t see a case for keeping a journeyman guy that is easily replaced all things being equal next season.
