Alflives
Shane Malloy, A scout expert guy, was just on 1040. Taylor and Moj asked the guy for his opinion on some Camuck’s prospects, one of which was Dhalen. He said if Dhalen is going to play in the NHL, he will need to play at a faster pace. I disagree. I think Dhalen’s game is very suited for our small ice. He’s a below the dots player. I say this kid is the biggest (good) surprise at this fall’s camp. droid56
Aflives, it's not Dhalen. It's DAHLEN, which is the spelling that appears in the post above yours.

I thought it was a running gag with Alf and some other posters. Seems like there’s a group of them that consistently (and purposefully) write Dhalen, Dhalin, and Whalstrom.

It’s DHALEN, for today.

It's interesting to see the playoff format in Sweden and Finland. They seem to alternate games home and away since the countries are much smaller and cross-continental trips aren't necessary. Between Timrå and Karlskrona there is like 550 miles and Timrås total revenue is about 8M USD, that makes flying expensive, which makes them take 12h Bus rides, to charter a plane for this trip is about $50k, a big deal when you have those small funds to work with.. I guess I shoulda looked at a map. 500 miles isn't exactly a short trip for small budget teams. It makes the playoff format even more peculiar. Makes the players more ready for the long flights in the NHL Timrå was taking the bus to The first Game, plane home and plane down and home again for the later games, big investment with that budget but if they get promoted the TV deal they get gives about $5M more per season 2

Rob_Zepp
Dahlen has risen more than I personally thought he might this year. Really solid chance at NHL role now. Seems to be sleeper prospect too which may help him - not the hype of a Canuck own pick.

Ihatetomatoes
Dahlen looking sooo dangerous out there. Only watched a bit of the 2nd and he's had 2 amazing scoring chances. He's got incredible instincts.
