Just play the dude Greener it won't hurt you or the team to sit Burmistrov or Gagner and Vanek has fallen off the last couple of games as well....let the Gold one play...

Honestly. I'm not sure how Burmistrov is adding to this team. He isn't very good offensively, he's ok defensively. He's expendable out of all the players. He's most likely to sit. I'm not sure why he continues to dress.

Goldobin needs to be given an offensive chance. If he doesn't, I can see him either inevitably demanding a trade so that he gets more of a chance with another organization, or he goes back to the KHL for more money, and playing time.

#Canucks don't screw this up.

He's our 13th F making a whopping $900k and playing because we have injuries.

The whole team played like garbage last game. If they didn't and we won or had a game we looked like we could/should have won, there's no chance Goldy gets in. Given that's not the case...

If Green feels Boeser needs a game off to rest, he could slot in there. Or if he wants to play Goldobin on a bottom 6 'offensive' line (something like Vanek, Granlund/Gagner, Goldobin), maybe he gets a look next game. That will likely depend on how sharp the 'regulars' look in practice and how good Goldobin's play away from the puck/puck pursuit looks in practice.

I like Burmistrov....

I love these low risk potentially high reward moves by Benning. I dont mind being patient to see if we have a solid fit in our line up

Maybe next game try:

Granlund Horvat Boesser

Baertchi Burmistrov Goldobin

I'm not sure he's shown that much to continue to warrant a spot in the line up, let alone a spot in the top six....

The alternative to Burmistrov and Vanek is Chaput and Megna.

We have to back-fill by position due to inuries.

We want to see Goldobin, so look down the right side to see who could come out.

Jake?  I dunno, might just snap his low confidence into a real problem.

Brock?  Maybe if he really does need a rest, but otherwise, it would be a shame to take out our top offensive threat.

Vanek?  Has worked himself into an important part of the team but can play either wing.

Eriksson?  Has finally started to find his stride but can also play either wing.

Personally, I would sit Gaunce but TG seems to really like him, and he does some of the things Sutter would be doing.

So I think it is poor Jake that will sit tomorrow for Goldy to get in.

I understand that people think Gagner or Burmistrov should sit out, and they may be correct.

I'd really like to see Jake stay in with a pair of linemates that can (almost) keep up with him.

To be fair though, both Vanek and eriksson play lw and rw. You could easily take out one of burmistrov, Gaunce or even gagner (tho I wouldn’t) and juggle some lines around to fit in goldobin. Eg move Vanek to the left, gagner in the middle, and goldy on the right and take out burmistrov

Would anyone agree that goldobin granlund virtanen line would be an affective line in the NHL?

I want Goldy to play ...but that line sounds like a possible disaster...at least right now....Granlund's confidence is way down there so even the offensive side of that line could be tragic ...but on D. I think they would get eaten up, maybe later in the year when they have all played more.

To start I think Goldy needs to be with 2 veterans and one of those should be able to score...Vanek or Eriksson with Sutter or Granlund and Goldy might work

Goldobin is an exciting prospect.  If the nux were further along  in their rebuild they would be more confident putting him in. Right now there's reluctance since they are still playing it "safe" with signed ufas.

I disagree, careful prospect development is being mistaken with "playing it safe" with UFA's.

Nope. He is being strung along so Burmistrov can play. Sorry partner the truth is right there. They're afraid to lose burm on waivers so to this point Goldy hasn't got a shot. Now.  There's room for Goldy to play so let's see what happens tomorrow

I've always liked the idea of putting Eriksson on the same line.  Loui can help out defensively and seems to have success at 'cleaning up around the net.'  Goldy gets a lot of shots on the net, which would be perfect.

Bees

Sedins  Granlund

Goldy   Gagner  Eriksson

Vanek Gaunce  Virt
