I think they're at 739 now.

25 back of G/K's 764.

Wouldn't it just be amazing to see the Sedins surpass a record belonging to the great one.... I would just love for this to happen.

Legends....

I hope they pass this record with all of my being.

I dont care care about the differences in hockey then and now. I don’t care how much longer they got to play together.

I care that 2 Canucks (the 2 greatest ever) get their spot in the record books.

Agree 100%... I don't care neither. All records can be debated and taken apart and used which ever way you want.

However, if your name is on top of the tree.... its on the top of the F'ing tree...

Records are made by legends...

So 17 games left and 25 points back.  .73 PPG  is VERY doable for them.  .

I'm not sure if I understand what needs to happen for them to pass Gretz/Kurri. Basically, they need to be in on a same goal either both of them assisting on another player's goal or one Sedin assisting on another Sedin's goal. Correct?

In that case, they need to each get minimum 25 points in 17 games. I don't think it's doable this season. But for sure next season.

Unless I'm misunderstanding.

25 combined points to tie, 26 to be 1st, definitely next year!

They only need to get 25 points altogether, not each!  So 13 for one and 12 for the other, or any combination that equals 25.  So they could get it this year, but still more likely that they would have to come back for one more year to make that happen..... which I hope they do!!

I don't think that's correct. Even if Daniel gets 25 points but Henrik is not involved in any of his 25 points, it doesn't count because they are not on the same scoring play.

For example, if Daniel scores assisted by Horvat and Boeser. That doesn't count.

They must be on the scoring play together. For example, if Daniel scores, Henrik must be credited with an assist (vice versa if Henrik scores). Or, if Boeser scores, both Daniel and Henrik need to assist.

That's why this record is so amazing. Basically, they created 700+ goals together in their career not counting the goals they created without the other.

Ahhh... I see!  That makes sense.  Thanks for the clarification!

So yes, definitely won’t break it until next season then.  That’s why they HAVE to come back! lol

Never know. If the team keeps scoring like they have been.
