Adarsh Sant
First trade is pretty fair. Second one won't happen. Stecher is a BC boy and Benning won't trade him. He had a solid rookie year and with some help from a vet/coach could probably QB a powerplay. The value is fair, but why trade Stecher. He could be better than Dumba in the future. Plus we could literally draft Nicolas Hague with the 17th. 6 foot 6, 214lbs. Projected top 4 guy. The second trade seems redundant.
cripplereh
I can say Stecher will not be traded as Boeser asked us to take a look at him and he has played very well

Matt Dumba is not worth that trade at all. I would rather keep Stecher over dumb dumba .
Gaudette Celly
Carrick is not waivers nor expansion draft exempt. Dumba -- 3 NHL seasons, .34ppg Stecher -- 1 NHL season, .33ppg

Stecher is undersized, not as much NHL experience and is expansion draft exempt, making this trade a homer for Minnesota. You've got to give to get. This gives us two young blue liners in Dumba and Juolevi who have potential to be top pairing guys. It accelerates our rebuild. Carrick may not be expansion or waivers exempt but I doubt Vegas claims him over Sbisa.

I'd keep the 17th and try to land one of Vilimaki, Foote or Henri Jokiharju.
mll
Minnesota has cap issues - they would not want Dorsett. They already have Stewart who fills the same role, scored 13 goals / 21 pts and is paid 1.2M. They are still very much interested in Drouin per Russo this week. Last year he believes that Tampa was scouting Dumba heavily for a potential trade. Smith (Tampa Times) says that TBL has been looking for ages for a right handed PMD - Dumba fits the bill. They were willing to trade him to get RNH at the draft. Minnesota is actually questioning Dumba even more now - too inconsistent and mistake prone but he has a cannon of a shot from the point. They also wonder about Brodin - too limited offence. Kind of expecting some changes because they can't bring back the same group. My guess is that their preferred option is to use either to trade for a F. Fanuck
Tanev and CBJ 2nd to Washington for Bowey and Vrana. If Washington believes their window is still open they do this immediately. Tanev could've been the quiet, shot-suppressing machine that made the difference vs the Pens and his cap would fit right into Alzners vacated spot. Also, they desperately need picks after looting their own cupboards for the 'win-now' philosophy. JB does this because he gets North American Heart and European skill in one transaction and fills a couple spots on our roster at the same time with the exact right combination of age/cap hit/potential/skill/grit! Stecher is a rookie, and has a great heart, excellent energy and if his #'s are basically the same as a 3rd year guy I'm sticking with the BC guy for sure. And by the way Stecher is a top 4 guy as well
PunjabiCanucks
Do the first trade, and then try to move up with Toronto's first and CBJ 2nd.

Sounds like Washington thinks it's time for a change and not just a cosmetic one - even the players say so. Their window with the group they have is closed. It's more likely that Bowey and Vrana make the team next year and that they prepare for a run with a new group.

Trade, no for the 2. Take glass or mittelstadt at 5, we have to start collecting as many picks as possible. A rebuilding team isn't willing to give away a first round pick, make no sense in my eyes.
