Again? He didn't work out here the first time, don't think he'd help again this time..

He manufactured our League leading PP in 2010-11.  But then again he had Sedins in their prime plus Kes plus Ehrhoff. This is a whole different regime though so who knows how it'll work out this time.

Maybe he will get the sisters playing with some confidence in their power play! I miss the no look tape to tape passes that kept us all in wow. And if so maybe we can get a return for them at the deadline

I have no idea why the Sedins suck so bad at the PP now. Time for a revamp or to pull them off the top unit entirely.

They're older, no PPQB on D, no Kesler in front of the net...

Hoping Boeser might remedy some of that. He's the perfect, skilled right shot on the PP to get those cross-crease passes from the twins in the corner/wall. Pretty sure he scored a couple of those at the end of the year actually.

Now the PPQB on D.... That's arguably our biggest loss. With no real threat from the D, the opposition simply smothers the down low plays from the twins and leaves them little time or space to make plays. If the puck goes back to the points they simply let it them take a low percentage shot/pass.

Without that talented guy, it also made Edler (if he's playing there) less effective for letting off his big shot. When there was a talented guy playing opposite Edler, opposition never knew if he'd pass to the twins, take a shot or send a quick pass to Edler to let off his canon and had to respect all those possibilities. Now passes are generally telegraphed to Edler giving opposition time for him to fire it in to their shins, basically neutering his ability to contribute on the PP as well.

Then there's that the twins/Edler are all older and IMO, should see reduced time on the PP as well. Especially if they have trouble gaining the zone (which happened with increasing frequency last year and would also be aided by said PPQB D).

Bah, I can hear that conversation now.

"Hey you hall of famers, here's what I want. Blind passes. Blind passes everywhere. When in doubt, I want you throwing that pick behind you with the intensity of a thousand suns. We gotta fire you guys up, end on a high boys, go big or go home. A pass with a confidence hits it target 73 percent of the time, every time. No need to look where you pass, in fact, close your eyes. I got a good feeling on this. Go time sisters!"

I would ask for a spotted rep for the sisters comment, but you guys got this covered.

They are Daniel and Henrik SEDIN.   If you can't figure that out by now then trying using your brains.

they are not the quality shooters they used to be. Their S% is about the same as 2011, but watching them you can see they're not picking the corners like they used to. They are fantastic passers tho, and should be split up to pass the puck to kids that can shoot. IMO anyway.

I don't think it was that bad. You may not like it but there is an argument that we should trade the Sedins if someone was offering something decent. Not to say we should or shouldn't, just that the argument is there.

I think it was more the sisters comment. One could also argue they have earned the right to retire Canucks.

When you childishly refer to two of the greatest and classiest Canucks of all time as "sisters"

You've earned some scorn
