[Speculation] Nashville could try to move Jarnkrok or Neal today

With Nashville not able to work out a deal with Vegas, it's safe to assume that they'll try to get some value for him.

Perhaps we could send Sutter and a prospect their way for Jarnkrok?

Hutton for Jarnkrok.

We expose Sutter and keep Sbisa, Edler, Tanev and Guddy from the ED.

Trade Tanev for a high pick or young forward, (Reinhardt or the 3rd and a cap dump goalie... ;) ).

Use the 5th to take Liljegren or Makar and da ta, the rebuild is done.

Bonus. We will still draft in the top 5 next year, but the year after, we take the league by surprise and have a great prospect pool to continue the team thru the next 10 years, trading second tier guys for prospects and picks, ala Chicago.

Jarnkrok seems like a promising kid and only getting better as his stock has been quietly rising after filling in admirably for injured Johansen. Traded the kid in fantasy. Kinda regretting it but at the same time, I had acquired another player but even younger to replace his production. I'd trade for him for the right price but if they overvalue the guy, we should pass

On the surface trading 33oa for Jarnkrok seems like a good deal. However with us drafting likely Vilardi/Glass I dont see the point. I also think there will be some very good talent left at 33 (Brannstrom, Hague, Yammamoto, PO Joseph, Jokiharju, Lind etc.) there will be steals of the draft to be had at 33.

I suppose he could be used for a few years, until these new prospects are ready to step in. At that time, he could either be moved to a wing, or perhaps traded (considering his very team friendly contract). :)

What would it take to get Neal? With the loss of Tryamkin our team toughness might be lacking. We could surely use someone willing to throw his knee into the opposing team's jaw to keep the kids safe...

But seriously, I actually wouldn't mind Jarnkrok at all, I just see other teams needing him more. Really nice cap hit for a versatile player. Seems right up Chicago's alley.

No Thanks to either!  Let's stay the course unless they are willing to take Sutter or Ericksson (who I think will have a big bounce back year).

Course to what? The bottom of the league?

Both are good players with different skill sets and would boost our forward group.

Hutton earns more than Ryan Ellis and would only be playing 10min a night on their 3rd pairing.

Jarnkrok is on a good deal but who cares not a difference maker within the next 2-3 years. I'm not willing to trade picks away for those types of players.

just collect and use picks. If there is a targeted player in the age range of 20-22 then trade picks away I don't care... else... hell no

Would still be a huge upgrade over the trash they currently use on the 3rd pairing.  They played a defenseman who can't play defense during the SCF final.  Having an NHLer instead of a massive liability in Weber would have made a huge difference.

I still can't believe they re-signed that useless pylon.  Any sane GM would be desperate for an upgrade.

Could we ask LV to take Neal and then trade him to us?

That's the kind of deal I'm hoping JB makes with Vegas. There's a lot of good young players we should look into (Marchessault or Smith from FLA would be nice)
