Because of the depth of good d-men available to Vegas and because of Sbisa's CAP hit they might pass on him. Both Boucher and Gaunce are cheaper options. They have a younger demo which could appeal. Boucher has shown he can score at the NHL level. Gaunce is young enough, has size and decent speed. His video resume from last year will show well to the Vegas scouts IMHO.

Lots of variables will come into play as to who Vegas will select.

Ryan Miller ??

He's a UFA, but I heard here Vegas gets a few days of exclusive negotiating rights with UFAs.  If they sign Miller, for example, that player counts as the one from his previous team.  The key is the player has to sign with Vegas.

Now that the lists are revealed from every team I don't think it's automatic that it's Sbisa like many predicted.  I could see a guy like Pedan filling a certain need on LV as a young,  cheap, tough, versatile  (didn't he play a few gm's at forward) option who wouldn't need to clear waivers during the season.

Quite a few surprises now that lists are available - Pittsburgh has Fleury,  Rust and Poulliot available for example.

Didn't MAF agree to waive his NMC?  I think Vegas will pick him.

Pedan would need to clear waivers to be sent down.
