Elias probably could use a long bomb QB....Juolevi is trending that way....any of those top 6 D. Draft prospects look pretty good at that as well....

I guess Salo is teaching him that slapper

I hope Benning can get another 1st rounder this year. This would be the draft to load up on picks.

If it is a top 10 pick, I'd be willing to trade some real assets to acquire it.  Outside the top ten, I think you need to be conservative with what you are willing to pay.  This is a strong draft in the top 10 or so picks, after that it becomes more of a normal draft.

How many goals as he scored from that exact same location on the PP? Guy has such a wicked shot I'm beginning to question whether he's a playmaker or sniper :bigblush:

Today's performance should tie Pettersson for first in the SHL at 23 points in 18 games.  In the SHL there is only one player under 20 in the top 50 in scoring.

It's hard to know which season of Forsberg's to compare with Pettersson as he was 18 for the entire 91-92 season and 19 for the entire 92-93 season while Pettersson was 18 at the start of this season and turned 19 last week.  He's starting to look like he might match Forsberg's 92-93 season, however, which would be a tremendous accomplishment, although hard to predict what the NHL holds for Pettersson being such a different style.  I loved that diving play for the puck to break up the play in his own zone and give his team mates a 2 on 1.  His highlights are always worthy of watching.

Would you trade this kid straight-up for Hirschier?

Don't think I would! :^)

That's a tough one, Nux.  They both have huge potential and will likely be big game changers on their individual teams.  Their value is probably close to the same as well.

For the Nucks, I would hang onto Pettersson, as goal scoring is such a problem for the team.  Hopefully a top pairing rhd will be chosen in the upcoming draft and can be playing alongside joulevi in 2 or 3 yrs.

He's got dirty dangles, sick shots and incredible vision for making plays.  He reminds me a bit of a young Wayne Gretzky - although I think the calibre of defence and opposition in general is higher now and he's more like a Gretzky light.  I don't really like making the comparison but he has the vision, playmaking skills and hands to make the comparison valid to some extent, not to mention the slight frame.

wiil he be as good or better then edms young driastil.  im betting there will be similar discussion about their progression when he finally arrives.

Absolutely no chance.... we're not looking for another top prospect from the bottle...

We are looking for elite prospect and EP has the potential to be exactly that...

if he he doesn't get to where we hope for so be it, but he has a potential we haven't seen here for many years.

Wouldn't swap him for anything not named McD or Matthews....

best center in franchise history perhaps.  thats obviously a ridiculous statement for an 18 recently turned 19 year old kid.  but the potential and statistics in him and SEL are great signs to come.

i look forward to seeing if he can live up to half the hype.  he is a really special and prized prospect.

Why not just move a couple of veterans, so that we fall in the standing enough to be there.........

Could you imagine getting another 1st and another 2nd......it could happen

We are so close!
