Rollieo Del Fuego
...So he added 10 LBs.,... To what did he add those pounds and what is his weight now... We need numbers...this is critical...there is no way he can play at 174 Lbs....but if he hit 177....well then...there we go... Skinny goals count just as much...so no worries over a few pounds...

R3aL
2nd period got savage lol His pass to send dahlen on a breakaway was a beauty too really impressed with Gaudette Gadj and Palmu outside of The dahlen EP40 connection

Popular Post cory40
What a beauty of a game. I sat right behind EP. In the first period he looked uncomfortable and came to the bench very upset at himself. Elias made 3 passes tonight that were absolute beauties. But the thing that impressed me the most was his hockey IQ. Eg in the second period he delayed jumping on the ice just a second and the defenseman skated by him and he jumped on the ice to have a shot at a clean cut breakaway. But he missed the pass by about 4 ft. (the pass was not a good one).Oli looks poised and very confident on one particular rush he out maneuvered the opposing d with some great hands. Also made some nice passes(much improved over last year). The wrist shot from EP was even harder than the GIF above showed. WOw I have seen some hard shots at prospects camps in previous years but the accuracy of EP is on another level. The play that had the fans saying "HOLY" was when he batted the puck down at about 4 ft high and with lacross smooth hands he went in and created a chance. EP didn't play very well for half the night but found his mojo on back to back shifts and after that seemed to find his groove. Dhalin and EP looked like the old Oilers on the bench laughing and having a good time. EP is as advertised. Another positive I took from the game. EP just coasts and seldom uses his speed, it kind of catches defensemen off guard because he is very fast when he turns it up. He changes his pace on stride goes from fast to slow and creates some wicked space for himself. Can't wait till Sunday. 3
cory40
On the downside EP didn't win any face offs.

It was on his mind. But he also looked really nervous tonight. His skillset is off the charts as good or better than any we have seen in Penticton since it started. Elias will get lots of points because he see's the ice so well. He made 4 or 5 passes to players on the ice that you would never look for. One was a behind the back through his legs drop pass to a team mate (that was caught off guard also) because it created so much open space. No that pass was unbelievable. The crowd gasped when it happened. And Lind took it just as surprised. From my close view (just behind EP) Lind would have scored had he been ready. Players on the Canucks big club will have to be ready. He also hit the third man on a well covered rush that was not only entering the zone late, it was a impossible pass to make by many standards. I seen first hand why his team mates nicknamed him Alien, He does what others can't. Now I have seen Laine and Horvat and McDavid (who was blazing fast ), in Penticton but I have not seen the skillset EP brings. His passing is out of this world. His shot is wow. The video of his shot doesn't even capture his release. He has a Brock Boeser shot and a passer on him that the NHL has not seen since Gretzky. Now I am not saying he is but I am saying holy their was some nice passes tonight. And not like you see from prospects or Junior players or in other leagues. EP can create out of nothing.
Lancaster
With Pettersson being one of the prize horses of the Canucks, I'm starting to feel that maybe he needs to play alongside some "meat and potatoes" type of player. Pretty much like how the Sedins started their career with Trent Klatt.
