What scares me is that for the two periods the Canucks did not have Pettersson, the offence totally looked awful.

They actually played their best hockey of the game after he left. The play of Price should not be overlooked. If you look at player's comments after the game (from both teams) you'd see that the Nucks had some grade A chances and he stole the show.

Not sure what you mean. Our team seemed to lose a lot of energy and dynamism after Petterson left. One of Montreals' commentators even mentioned it during the game.

Also, yeah Price was godlike that night.

No MRI results. No breathing.

:P

Don't know why the Canucks can't make some sort of statement. Obviously a lot of fans are very interested and the team must have the MRI results by now.

The kid has been knocked around pretty good in the past 3 games.  Hopefully the knee is ok and this is a good opportunity to take a rest for a few days that coincide with a slow stretch in the schedule.

Agree completely. Even if EP's knee feels fine and no structural damage shows up on the MRI, there is still some healing going on that could be disrupted if he plays. And he could just use the rest, as could Horvat and some other guys. WIth a break in the schedule, EP could come back refreshed on Thursday (assuming the MRI looks ok.)

In fact, the whole team could use some rest after another tough road trip. How about if the team concedes the 2 pts against Toronto and takes the day off? ::D

But but, what will Maple Leaf fans do at 7pm on a Saturday?

He's having the MRI only today per Green in his post-practice.

Probably let the media break it tonight on the game broadcast.

Watch Green's postgame interview. I echo his sentiments of how the team responded.

And there it is....

dodged a bullet on that one. 4 days off, then probably sits for the Yotes and Florida. Those are winnable home games for us even without him.

if green doesn't get these guys going , then no game is winnable! did green say anything about how well the boys played tonight?:picard:

What’s it say of the level of this team when actually facing a top 5 team in the league. Our back end isn’t of nhl level. We have 6-6/7D-men and a backup goalie. I wouldn’t expect us to win too many with that team.

Crap luck. Got tickets for DET in the 20th, hoping he's back for mine!

yes, he sure did..I've seen the replay a few times now and I cringe every time.  That's some good flexibility there.....
