But with the Norris and all for EK I guess he makes up for it. Been thinking lately that although I never liked the idea of Quinn with Guddy, maybe Schenn would be a cheap and effective partner? Mrwipeout
Im thinking more quinn and tanev or quinn and edler. Quinn has to be on the top 4 Dmen anyway. He needs to grow and develop.

peaches5
Pettersson is the most complete player he is great offensively and defensively but there are players better offensively than him but that is because they don't play defense.

Interesting. Barzal had a higher ppg in his rookie season and played all 82 games. I love Pettersson but I wonder if burke did any research before that comment. Not being a homer... but I would take Pettersson over Barzal every day. 1 3

I like Barzal, but he needs to play on the d side of the puck even harder than he does on the o side. 1

I know we're talking about Pettersson and Barzal... However... Barzal this year... 67 games, 53 points, -12 (on a very solid Islander's team) Boeser... 55 games, 46 points, + 6 1

In a full 82 game season, Pettersson would end up with similar points to Barzal's rookie season.

Wilbur
Elias Pettersson getting to 58 points way faster than those around him puts him into 129th in all-time Canuck scoring with his assist tonight. 128. Garry Valk LW 172 24 35 59 129. Elias Pettersson C 58 26 32 58 130. Artem Chubarov C 228 25 33 58 131. Willie Mitchell D 264 10 48 58
Tiger-Hearted
Pettersson/Canucks rookie records update: Needs 10 more assists to tie Dale Tallon, '71 (42). Needs 2 more points to tie Ivan Hlinka, '82 & Pavel Bure, '92 (60).

Petterson is a much more complete player is not playing with the players Barzal had/has. Not to take away from Barzal, but Pettersson is definitely the better of the two. Barzal could've definitely lost the Calder had Boeser been given the chance to reach 40 goals.

To EP, blocking is part of the offence. He blocks the puck to the direction where he can get it so he can go on the counter-attack. A really smart guy this EP dude.
