There is a salary cap.... they got Josi subban as there 1 2 already there not going to pay Ellis never mind figure out ekholm as well, I’m not saying throwing them crap I’m sugguesting a hockey trade, so there is no need to try and be little my sugguestion of a move I think is a way of  bettering us for the future thanks for your thoughts Mikey agree to disagree

I am not belittling you suggestion of a move but i believe there will not be an Ellis available to anyone due to salary cap issues. They will make it work with him and before they would let Ellis go i believe they would move on from Subban.  I dont think your idea of trying to trade for Ellis is bad, i just don't think is very realistic. They would want a talent like Boeser back.

Its not meant to be belittling.. It was not intended in that way.

They've got Fabbro to plug in and keep on chugging plus whatever return they get for trading Ellis. They'll be fine

Fat chance

Ellis for Tanev?

Ellis finally can get top billing and Tanev can take the responsible minutes to allow Subban to take risks.

Don't bother man. You'll have a better time and less of a headache banging your head against a brick wall.

Would Tanevs injury woes be added into the concern from Nashville? I dont know if they make that move

Tanev would fit VERY well in PHI actually and likely help make them a serious contender instantly.

But yes, it's just a concept. Doesn't mean we can't/won't do something similar. With PHI or otherwise. You asked how our D could be rebuilt in short order, I showed you.

Wilde (or a similar D) would be with the mid 1st from a Tanev + trade.

Tryamkin is merely one of 15 possible guys listed for 6 spots. You're being obtuse.

You need #5-8 D as part of your D too FYI. Chances are, at least a couple guys continue to develop beyond their current ability.

Yeah, so I post a potential future D pool that corrects those things and I'm smoking a bong. Sure....

You seem utterly devoid of the ability to look past the end of your nose.

Lol, it's possible, but highly unlikely he makes the Flyers an instant contender.

I dunno...they pick up Tanev this summer, with the solid kids and vets they already have on the roster and the young forwards that likely graduate this year... I sure wouldn't want to play them.

Maybe not 'cup' favourites but they'd sure be in the conversation to at least make a run at a conference and see where it goes from there.

They're a pretty good team now with a SOLID prospect pool.

Ya Tanev wont be getting Ellis and Nashville can and will sign Ellis ti a great deal AND squeeze Fabbro into the line-up after he has spent a good year ir 2 in Milwakee.

Nashville drafts well, trades well and when they do they almost ALWAYS get a pick in the deal.

Btw....the minute that 30 GM's disciver Ellis is available, the price will likely start with the usual...

1st

Young awesome prospect

Decent young player

And they will get it.

OR

They simply trade Ellis straight up for someone equally awesome....a hockey trade

Coz THAT'S how that team rolls

Take Dahlin if the Canucks get the 1st overall, if at 2nd overall or lower take the BPA or trade down.

This team has a lot of holes on it.

I would trade down if we got #2 or 3.

Trade down to 5th and select the next best D while collecting assets

Just dont have jim pointing out his player in the stands

"Ya ummm duhhh theres our guy"

anyone catch the article on Svechnikov and the rumors he may be older than what everyone actually thinks he is....  it's worth a read but at this point only speculation

Not surprised at all with this.  Maybe this guy is this draft’s faller?

Smoke screen. Some one is trying to tank his stock.

Article provides no direct evidence of any kind at all. It just lists the Griggs situation which was proven that he was the correct age. This feels like an nhl gm trying to run an NFL draft ploy to tank a player they really like down to where they have a shot to draft him. Most famous one of this is that Aaron Rodgers. Small hands can't play in the cold and he was from a gimmcky offense and the infamous character issue that he was cocky and not confident so he wasn't gonna be a good qb.

So this Svenchikov has small hands and doesn’t like cold weather?  Okay, really don’t want him now. B)

More like a slow news day. The writer stated right off the bat that he has know idea and that is all just speculation. His brother is two years older.  We’re they twins. :). Considering he’s been on the international radar since he was 13 it would be pretty hard for someone to fake two years.

Elia is a great player but imo it's too early to make a move like that. Doesn't fit our timeline.
