It could really hurt his draft position

Maybe late 2nd or to the 3rd round

IMO

......or Chicago takes him with a late 1st and he wins the scoring title

Obviously every team will try to find the severity of his condition. It was deemed as a minor thing but who knows. If it’s a minor issue I’d still love to draft him. If this kid was playing in the CHL getting more exposure I believe we’d be talking about him as a top 15 prospect in this draft.

Doubt that. Like kaut, but he doesn't have that elite game breaking ability.

The canucks keep saying speed and skill which makes be believe its going to be Wahlstrom if he is there at 7. I can't see them going for Dobson because he isn't the fastest player and I don't see his offensive game translating to anything more than 30 in his prime

Huh. Dobson is probably the fastest chl defenseman in the draft and probably one of the top five skaters overall. Also, what makes you think his offensive game is only gonna 30 points in his prime?

Impressed with boqvist, tkachuk, and surprisingly Evan Bouchard. Dobson was a beast also. Any of those guys would be good picks.

You do realize all of the tests where Bouchard tested high were 'Xavier Bouchard' and not 'Evan Bouchard' right?

Agreed. I think 30 points is his floor...

Disagree, Dobson is known for his quick skating and transition. His skating level is top notch and IMO what stands out from his game.

height and weight question?

Quinn Hughes: did not test (worlds)

Anybody know this kids actual height n weight?

I was surprised how much Boqvist has grown this year. Now 5'11".5 I doubt he's finished growing either. His scores were impressive.

Yeah. But he performed well for the most part and showed better athleticism then most would have thought he had. I particularly liked his fatigue index score.

Those show he has been training hard, taking it seriously. Which is good!

But does not suggest he is one of the elite athletes?

Are they going to do on ice drills?

cones

speed

shot

etc

Was watching a little video clip on Bouchard from the Combine. He is incredibly well spoken. I hate when I get to see the more human side of prospects. It's easier when they are just names on paper or a screen. Cause now I really like him. LOL. I like too many of the guys in the top 10. Can we have them all? :(

I really don't get why the don't do a draft super skills competition??

I want to know who has the best acceleration, top speed, lateral movement, most accurate shot, hardest shot, stick handling in a phone booth, puck handling at speed.

No to the on ice drills, but a good chunk of the combine testing really isn't related to the Nhl. Really wish they would run a sparq test.

Man, Liam Foudy nailed the NHL Combine tests: https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/2018-nhl-combine-results-top-10-drill/ (Boqvist did well; too bad Quinn Hughes wasn't there). As per CanucksArmy (https://canucksarmy.com/2018/05/25/canucksarmys-2018-nhl-draft-profiles-80-liam-foudy/), he is known for his skating, and he has some amazing athletic bloodlines. On this shift-by-shift, he does look explosive:

He will be in our range at 37.

His team also refused to even do the weigh in..

I'm impressed with the kids combine however there are several others I would take before him with that pick. Tychonick, Kaut, Kravtsov, Nordgren not the mention the "why isn't anyone taking Kole Lind scenario where someone drops into our lap.

He might be worth a gamble with a late second though if JB can procure one.
