Lind is still young, Just coming up for 22 and probably quite high on the organisation chart.

He was the last to be scratched for the play offs roster, so it looks like he was close in eyes of management.

I doubt Hawryluk being signed changes that. Changes are coming over the next 2 years, and everyone knows that...

Think it's important that all the prospects, including Hawryluk, Bailey, Jasek and Lind have competition to ensure they keep working hard for their opportunity.

Competition is a constant for most athletes especially team sports. As is often said nothings is free in life. You can either embrace it ( which most do ) or let it destroy you. Lind has no idea who the Canucks draft this coming summer or will be traded. Disregard the what if's and buckle down

A move to the middle for Lind seems to have been brewing in Utica since the middle of last season. He was taking most of the key face offs with great success in the last half of the year, his play making is strong and he is very aware and sound defensively. The Utica coaches did the same thing with Jasek the previous season. Either of them could make a good third or fourth line centre/winger. Lind also has a bit of an edge to him - he loves being a piece of sand under your eyelid.

Well, that's one way to finally add some young centres to the prospect pool I guess.

Jasek, Focht, Costmar, Karlsson, Zlodeyev... it’s a start.

And frankly, that's where most depth C's come from. If they were 'sure things', they'd be projected to play higher in the lineup.

Especially with adding Lind, we have a decent group of guys (as you point out) who all have fair shots at replacing depth C spots as guys like Sutter and Beagle age out/contracts expire. Up to them to decide who grabs those spots.

Kole is going to have a chance to shoot the puck if he stays in between these two guys who put up points mainly by passing the puck.

Great opportunity for Kole.  I have been rooting for him since the Canucks drafted him.  He definitely has a solid offensive potential.  What do you think of his defensive game?

Based on that set up too, it looks like that would be the first line for Utica.

Meaning Lind is going to get a lot of minutes which is crucial for his development. Seems like Cull is a like a winger-centre converter. Also speaks to his keen awareness of what he sees with the organization and how he can assess who has the tools to make adjustments to their game to be successful with the Canucks and the NHL. If anyone had concerns about Trent Cull, should be limited now. He seems to be doing a great job knowing how to prepare prospects.

It is an area that Kole himself said he needs to work on.

That could be a fun line to watch, if they stick together. Baertschi has NHL level offensive talent, and Anas is an absolute scoring machine at the AHL level (albeit a smurf at around 5’ 7” and 150ish lbs). That’s a lot of skill on Lind’s wings, and Anas is also a C/RW, so that also adds some help and maybe a bit of a safety valve for Lind, making the switch to C.

I really hope another team takes a chance on Sven Baertchi, the guy deserves another shot
