Looked pretty much reaction to a guy cutting across the middle. Pretty quick "bang-bang" sort of play. The Dman didn't seem to be head hunting but I agree Lind is in a vulnerable position but I don't think this is a pre-meditated "get him" play - just a kid finishing a check that went badly as Lind put himself in a bad position. That cutting across like that is a pretty dangerous move if you are not looking up.

Yeah, but if reviewing bodies like the NHL’s DOPS have taught us anything, it’s that frame-by-frame video analysis can tell us exactly what players were thinking and what their intentions were. And that subtle movements and angles over a few hundredths of a second here or there can make a legal hit illegal and vice versa. Basically, we have the technology and expertise required to look at any hit and determine definitively whether it’s clean or dirty. In fact, thanks to DOPS (and all the other experts out there in the Twitterverse), we have the ability to repeatedly look at mirror image examples of the exact same hits and prove that they’re both completely legal “clean hits” and dirty, dangerous plays worthy of suspension. And we can can rest assured that the reviewing bodies will get every ruling “right” by carefully weighing critical data like the reputations and relative importance of the teams/players involved, the mainstream perception of hockey (especially when it comes to the more violent side of the game), actions vs results, league politics, and the PR mandate of the day. Pretty amazing stuff.

dpn1
I really like watching Kole play. He reminds me of a more skilled Burrows. Is there any chance he makes the Canucks next year? Edited February 13, 2018 by dpn1

He's been hit harder by bigger this year Looks like a cracking hit... If anyone on our roster threw a hit like that, I'd be screaming for joy. Hope Lind is ok though. But damn what a monster hit... It is unfortunate but Kole was looking forward and going to the goal and just didnt see the player coming who hit him. Good news is it doesnt sound like he will be out long

Filthymitts32
I will be attending the game tonight as I sweet talked my boss into giving me our tickets. Excited to get another look at Lind. I'll try and post a couple thoughts again after the game.

Dang, we got a lotta RH shots now.

Boeser, Gaudette, Lind—definitely some nice RH shooting options. And we even have another one (albeit a long shot for making the NHL) in my boy Lukáš Jašek:
