Solinar
Just got back home from the young stars Tournament in Penticton, and have to say, really enjoyed the Canucks squad this year. Lind, Gadjovich, Chatfield, Juolevi, and Carcone really impressed. Chatfield and Carcone looked like men on a mission, Lind and Gadjovich make me hopeful for the future, and Juolevi reminds me a lot of Tanev but with more offensive sensibilities. Calm, cool, collected. Gadjovich's play was impressive, as he was everything that was advertised, and could really see him being our power forward if he can improve his skating. His hockey sense, ability to handle the play in the corners, and nose for the net are impressive to say the least. If he can do for his skating something similar to Horvat, we are going to be scary.
Provost
With a little development I could actually see him playing a Patrick Maroon type role on a future first line: Gadjovich-Petterson-Boeser

He can drive to the net and create havoc there while Pettersson and Boeser do their thing.

Boeser playing away from Pettersson would give us hopefully one borderline elite player on lines 1 and 2.

Yup. Didn't add to those totals but a two point night is a great debut for his OHL season. Also finished with an impressive 6 SOG.

Yeah though "Manchild " didn't add to his points total but managed to get 4 more shots on net to make it 10. Either way great debut. reyezone
I had the thought that he should of got 9 games just to play the front of the net on the PP.

Unfortunately waivers exist, and that would mean we'd likely lose a player for no reason. Jonah will get there in a couple years, especially if he has a few more nights like this one

So whether 9 or 10 (or even 6), that's damn impressive shot volume. Kid had quite a game. Edited September 24, 2017 by SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME

VegasCanuck
I really love how Benning drafts. Incredible at identifying kids with potential.

Sorry for not being clear - what I meant was, if Jonah had been given nine games with the big club to start the season, as reyezone was suggesting here: On 9/23/2017 at 7:57 PM, reyezone said: I had the thought that he should of got 9 games just to play the front of the net on the PP. I was really just being silly with that suggestion....., ......but when a player (even a young player) displays a natural aptitude for something sorely lacking in your lineup, when is the time to give it a try? And lets be honest, we want the best club iced possible, all the hullabaloo over loosing a waiver eligible assett is a little over the top (ie: Corrado). Canucks have boatloads of meh talent that are waiver eligible and very few (or no) pp specialists.
