You see it every year, even Calder winners are susceptible - have a brilliant rookie year and take NHL by storm/surprise and the following year all the things that "worked" now don't and it becomes a long year and people start to question the player, confidence fades etc.   Happens every year.   For this coming season, of the top Calder vote receivers, who is it most likely to happen to?    Add some thoughts to your voting if you are so inclined.

Seems to be one of the most predictable things each year - for some reason the rookie season is hard to replicate for many (in fact, can become their best career season).   League figures them out?   Who knows.

Yeah, how come no Laine??? Just an oversight?

For me, I picked Murray. I think not having Fleury there as a safety net will effect him mentally, maybe not a lot, but see it happen with young goalies all the time, they play very good but when their team gets rid of "the guy" and they have to shoulder the entire burden, they struggle and falter a bit.

incredibly negative topic

I don't agree.   It happens every year and to many so thought it would be an interesting topic.   No different than predicting teams that go up or down.  Curious too to see one player "running away with it" so far.

Yup, it was and Laine was added.

For those wanting a Canuck there, sorry but none were in the top of the Calder voting.   That is what this thread is about.

I think people around here are just hopeful that MT regresses. In all likelihood it will be one of Nylander, Murray or Werenski imo.

Guess we will find out.   I am personally not sure he won't follow in his Dad's footsteps - hopefully for the Flames that doesn't include off-season food issues.
