HerrDrFunk
As usual, it's a mixed bag of guys who have a legit case and "dude, you're lucky to have a job" but there are some pretty big names on there this year.
pluralsight
The Canucks list is quite minor especially compared to teams like Minnesota and Tampa.
-Vintage Canuck-
The number of players that have elected salary arbitration this year is a bit high compared to: 24 players in 2016 23 players in 2015 20 players in 2014 21 players in 2013
Fanuck
Generally speaking the arbitration list is pretty 'MEH'.....but there are some really good players on this list this time.

HerrDrFunk
There's one name that makes me happy isn't on that list: Horvat. Though is that because Horvat isn't electing to go to arbitration or does he not have the right to do it off an ELC?

Not eligible - it's 4 years of NHL experience for players who sign their ELC at age 20 or younger.

These two guys(Gran & Neid) should take quite a chunk outa' that. They were so elated when they signed Parise/Suter(15 mill x forever)..wonder how they feel today? I dunno, most of my trade "thoughts" (quotes for emphasis on out my my butt thinking) never materialize. Just like the idea of adding more skill. Not playing hardball at all - they have barely started talking because the Wild have been busy with the draft, free agency etc. It's mostly to set a deadline by when the contract has to be finalised. His agent wasn't certain if they would file yesterday but Niederreiter did so it probably influenced him. For Niederreiter it's deadline related because last time it dragged on all summer. E. Lindros
Arbitration is for a pay raise correct? No offense to boucher but he was on waivers how many times last year? He should be happy with a 1 way deal. Its not an issue at all i just find it funny a guy who couldnt stick with multiple teams last year is filing for arbitration. He stands a good chance of being put on waivers to start year anyway
Gaudette Celly
Need Chaput for Utica. We have the depth now to keep him there. He was over 1ppg for them in the short time.

One positive for the team is once a player elects arbitration they can't sign an offer sheet.
