[Proposal] Create the best all UFA team from remaining UFAs per Cap Friendly

Salary costs must be 110% of last AAV as reported on CapFriendly for their last contract, and has to be under the $75M upper cap limit, and must exceed cap floor of $55.4M. I'll go first:

Tomas Vanek (2.860) - Mike Fischer (4.840) - Jaromir Jagr (4.400) = 12.100M / 51G 85A 136P

Drew Stafford (4.785) - Jussi Jokinen (4.400) - Brian Gionta (4.675) = 13.860M / 34G 50A 84P

God that would be a horrible team to watch. Scary thing is, Canucks could have been that bad last year if not for Miller

man . you gotta have a reserve depth squad to prop up that aging lot

so many will need recovery breaks, injury breaks, nap breaks

better have close to a 10 million cushion if you want enough players for this team

to last through an actual season

 

but good effort on sketching out a team

 

i guess franson, iginla, and jagr are the enforcers on that team

Drew Stafford is worth nowhere near 4.785M.  Same thing with Gionta at 4.675M.

This was in no way intended to be a serious post. I thought that was clear enough, lol. It was an exercise in boredom. None of those players are worth the posted salaries outside of Jagr and maybe Vanek.

Horrible? Iono man, I think they'd do better than we did last year. There's a lot of talent and experience on that squad. Not to mention lots of pride...

Totally worth it though.  On occasion, when I'm in a silly mood, I like teasing people when they continually goof up spelling a player's name.  Especially if they are trying to sound like an expert on said player.
