A trade has been agreed between the very handsome @thejazz97 and the ruggedly good-looking @Master Mind:

To ARZ: Steve Mason + 2019 NYR 3rd round pick

To NYR: Henrik Lundqvist ($2.5m retained in 2017/18, $4m in 2018/19)

Just looking for Hellebuyck and Comrie and I can complete the set! /s

Question for the Commish team: Do players have to be undrafted 1, 2, or 3 time(s) to become FA?

Nowhere, does it say in the rules. Maybe you guys can add this to the Contracts section, and also add what the exact rules are, for ELC contract lengths; since we don't really follow what is currently written ;) @Captain Azzy

Wasn't in mine, you have to click 'more' on that blue tab at the top of the forum--clubs are in there.

Which part of the written rules don't we follow?

The rule on age is the same as the NHL - if the player turns 20 AFTER 31 December in any given season, he's eligible for the subsequent Entry Draft.

Ok, thanks Captain. This rule we kinda don't follow (bold)

"CDC Puck will follow the NHL rules for ELC contract term limitation as pertains to age though will not enforce the contract dollar amounts as it is only fair that a first overall such as Connor McDavid should cost more than $925,000 etc."

But we do follow that - term limitation is 3 years for ELCs.

That's not true. NHL Limits ELC's on players 18-21 to 3 years, 22-23 to 2 years and 24 to 1 year.

Multiple players in Puck have contracts longer than what would be allowed in the NHL.

The rule that Benning apparently didn't know when he tried to offer Tryamkin a 3 year ELC. Apparently hard for real GMs too. ;)

Aha! I shall clarify the OP. ELCs in CDCP are only for 18-21s. The intention behind the rule is to cover drafted players only.
