You know where our office is comrade. @Sestito'sHandMadeVodka would sell the mascot and the team bus for a 5th round pick and a pint. But don't you have no draft picks left to spend in the next two years and no cap space after injury return? I am interested to see what the trade bait and game plan is. I have an extra backup that I posted is available. I personall feel that it's within the rules to not have a second goaltender - GMs can elect for an extra skater - and it may make sense from a scoring perspective depending on a team's overall depth - but it's not very realistic in the sense that no team in the NHL could/would ever go without a backup - not even extreme short term. But this is fantasy, so there is no team playing with an empty net when their starter isn't dressed, so....

D-Money
Columbus are overall pretty happy with where we are in the standings. On the one hand, we're not sure if we have what it would take to challenge for the regular season win. But on the other, the Metro is a lot less competitive than last year (which was ridiculous), so we are pretty certain we'll be a playoff team. Whether we win our game of chicken with watermelons for the division lead is to be determined. Because of this situation, we are open to trading one of the following impending UFAs: Antoine Roussel ($2 mil cap hit) Cody McLeod ($1.15 mil) Eric Gryba ($600K w/retention) Each of them are generally in the 3-3.5 Fpt/game range (last season as well), and for cheap. (Roussel has had a slow start, but should get back on track.) And all 3 are on potential playoff teams. If teams are lacking depth and are short on cap space, any one of them would be a solid addition.
somethingvery
https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/hockey/news/blue-jackets-maxime-fortier-inks-three-year-entry-level-contract/ Very pleased to learn that Maxime has been signed by the Blue Jackets after being passed over in consecutive entry drafts despite being a top junior scorer alongside first overall pick Nico Hischier. Fortier was a key add to the Blackhawks Brady Skjei trade with @Canuck Surfer's Bruins. We look forward to his continued progress into a scoring role with the CBJ's. Sygvard
It looks like our players haven't quite caught on to the whole "do badly and get a high draft pick" thing. I might regret it come draft time, but for now I have zero complaints: it is just more fun to see points on the board than zeros. Another multi point for for Wheeler, joined by a few others across the board. Nice to see a goal and an assist for Borgman, and Pyatt/Gallagher continuing the sterling play mucking and grinding. I kinda feel the same way. While I’d love to get a high draft pick, missing the playoffs for the 3rd year in a row is getting a bit tiring and sometimes it’s nice to get a 50-70 point night. We feel that this was a trade that we needed to make after considering our contract situation in the off season for the next two years. Even though we are giving away a great player on a playoff team, we felt that this was a sacrifice needed. We got a great depth player in McGinn on a fringe playoff team and I think that my obsession for Panther players seem to have carried over from EDM to CGY. We now own four 2nd rounders this year and have almost caught up to @Sygvard's 5. Best of wishes to Kyle in STL and welcome Chris and Jaime to CGY! On a side note, still looking to deal so hmu even if it is a hello and you would be surprised who is available . Cheers

Canuck Surfer
While congratulating Fla & Car on great starts; we actually have to consider ourselves happy with our start. We're solidly in 3rd with Top 6 forwards Burakovsky & Fabbri hurt, also Troy Stecher & rookie Scherbak. Really happy with the development of our D prospects is the topic of the day. Our two top guys, Oliver Kylington (7 pts in 11 AHL games) & Cal Foote (15 pts in 17 WHL games) are killing it! Suggesting Sanheim & Stecher as graduated, We have, however, a small army of B & C defence prospects looking from a shot, to 4 even 6 more guys being solid NHL bets? Ziyat Paigin > Rough start. Has the physical tools, big, can skate, a big shot and puck skills? Chances, needs composure to tool chest, maybe... Filip Berglund, a 6'3'' 2-way D who played a full year in the SHL last year at 19, has 4 pts in 10 SHL games this year at 20. Chances better than average? Lucas Carlsson > A speedy PMD with excellent skills, among the most productive U20 players full stop in the SHL last year. Chances PP specialist 3rd pair? Jakub Galvas > My ace in the hole, love this late pick! Played near a full year at 17 in the Czech pro league LY, has Has 6 points in 20 games @ 18 should see at WJC Filip Westerlund > 2knd round pick of Arizona, Playing Solid 2 way D for Frolunda, Another WJC candidate, chances strong? Chad Krys > I was scorned for trading for Krys, a speedy USNTDP PMD product, has 7 pts in 10 games for Boston U & expect to play his 2knd WJC. Chances pretty good! Tarmo Reunanen > Plating a solid role at 19, making the LIIGA top Finnish league this year, after a so so draft + one year. Chances OK? Ben Harpur > The gentle giant had 27 AHL points last year. Already playing NHL games, playoff games LY. I do suspect a long, although possibly unspectacular career!
