Sorokin, Kolesar, and Hill were draft picks of mine from when I was GMing Philly, and immediately made deals to bring them all in. While Kolesar hasn’t had the easiest of transition to the AHL, I’m still hopeful he’ll find a place on the 4th line in the next couple years. As for Sorokin, still a number of years till he crosses the pond, but excited nonetheless. As for Hill? Been following him for a few years. Despite being in Arizona, I have high hopes for him. Fitzpatrick was brought in via trade, forget exactly what I gave up. But since acquiring him, he’s really picked up his game. Hopefully NHL ready in 3 years. This is the start of the next wave of exciting young players COL is going to have pushing for NHL spots and improving our organizational depth. The future looks bright being able to add these guys to our existing young talent like Vasilevskiy, Monahan, Barzal and Bowie as well as the solid vets we've assembled to help mentor them.
