arby18_
Sorry gang, had plenty of action in the DM's about the 5th pick. Not sure anything has come of them yet. Will make a decision shortly.
arby18_
Looking for the homerun with the Boqvist pick. We’re willing to wait for him to develop and understand he may need some time, but we feel very comfortable that adding such a dynamic d-man to our system will pay dividends in the long run. Hard to pass up on the two forwards remaining from that tier, but the pickup of Robert Thomas yesterday will hopefully help in that regard. Welcome to Arizona, Adam! So many good options to choose from.

Intoewsables
Potentially looking to move down a couple of spots with my OTC pick. If I don't strike a deal in the next hour or two, I'll just pick.

To VGK: ANA 2018 1st Round Pick (1st Overall) To ANA: VGK 2018 1st Round Pick (4th Overall), ANA 2018 2nd Round Pick (32nd Overall), VGK 2018 2nd Round Pick (33rd Overall), DET 2018 2nd Round Pick (47th Overall) Well it wasn't easy trading the 1st overall where we knew we would be giving up a potential superstar in Rasmus Dahlin, but we as a team need a lot more then just Dahlin. We didn't want to go past 4 and seeing @Nailin that spot and the fact he has a boatload of picks, especially in the 2nd round made the decision to move this pick easier for the both of us. IMO you did it right: not gonna even think about who won, but my overarching philosophy lately has been that you ought not put all your eggs in one human basket...look at Yakupov the other year....he may be a decent NHL player for some years but he will not be 4th overall and three second round picks worth of a player. IMO you hedged your bet correctly.

Tigs
Sorry for the delay. I have a couple inquiries in my inbox, but if I haven’t heard back in the next 15-30 minutes I’ll make the pick regardless as it’s fairly unlikely I trade it anyways.

arby18_
Arizona has 3 picks in the 2nd round (34, 45 and 54). Would consider packaging two of those picks to get another pick in the 1st round.
Monty
Was getting interesting there. Always planned on drafting Kotkaniemi. However; with intoewsables drafting Bratt and thinking Jaku would draft a defenseman, I would have had to re-evaluate between Wahlstrom and Kotkaniemi. That said, thrilled with Kotkaniemi. It’s a good pick. If things had gone the way I initially expected I would’ve considered reaching for him. Big fan of his play.

It’s a risky move for me to trade Thomas to begin with for him, especially considering Thomas will be an NHL player next year and Kotkaniemi is signed until 2019/2020, so it’ll be a few years.
