It was literally so so close, @D-Money. If it wasn't for Holtby, I don't think we even stood a chance in winning this tight match-up. Thanks for the countless days of non-sleep and anxiousness over these past couple of weeks.

It would be crazy indeed but seeing his roster versus mine, the chances are like 14 million to 1. I would need an 1-0 shutout every game with goals by Chiasson unassisted while Haula fights twice a game ;). Anyhow, very excited to be in the Cup Finals and we are going to play lights out to bring it home. @Mike Vanderhoek, looking forward to a crazy clash between our teams. Best of luck sir!

@Nail I believe we have Haula too on that very short list of ours haha.

You are right, my apologies!

To LAK: 2018 pick #47 + #73 + #127 + 2019 NYI 2nd

To ANA: Kris Letang

To SJS: Jacob Trouba, Christian Folin

To LAK: Travis Dermott + 2018 SJS 3rd + 2019 TBL 2nd, Alexander Dergachyov

Thanks to @gmen81 and @Jaku for the cordial negotiations, and @Master Mind for processing.

I'm pretty big on Dermott, and although I'd take Trouba over him in real life for sure, I expect them to produce similarly in FL scoring.

As for Letang, I hoped for a better return for a bona fide #1 D on a contender, but his injury history probably scared people off. But it was time for me to cut bait.

Despite trading 2 excellent players, going forward the defense is still quite strong...

Orlov - Doughty

Lindell - C. Miller

Dermott - Girardi

Brickley

Kukan

Pretty happy with that. But still open to discussing some forwards. Have some talks going on involving final-4 wingers Alex Killorn and Joel Armia.

We have a trade...

To ARZ: 2018 20th pick

To CBJ: Gustav Forsling, 2018 34th pick, 2018 139th pick

@_arby_18 may draft now.

Thanks to @winterhawks for the smooth and fruitful trade talks. We had plenty of interest in teams trading down, but this option allowed us to get the guy we wanted while also still keeping two of our three 2nd-round picks (45 and 54). We were leery to move Forsling in this deal, but felt that getting Dominik Bokk was worth the risk as we're as high on him as Pronman is.  We also had a pile of 5th round picks to move, so adding 139 wasn't a big deal. We wish Gustav well in Columbus.

With Adam Boqvist and Dominik Bokk in our system now, we feel that we are well on our way to stocking our program with young talent.

Carolina Hurricanes:

Along with all the other assets I’ve mentioned, Brian Elliott, who is a confirmed backup goalie in our league now, is available. Had 287 pool points last season. It’s looking like Collin Delia will be the backup in Chicago next year, so I’d like to give him the opportunity to run with it.

That said, if someone would like to pry Delia away, the 23 year old Rancho Cucamonga native (best city name ever) can be had as well.

wow ...bokk 20th overrall here   ... im really excited to see who grabs him IRL

i had no chance to grab him here with the 42th in the 2nd

I also can't wait to see where he goes. But I've liked him a ton since I started deep-diving into the 1st-round probable picks. Had to move up to get him though, as I doubt he'd have made it to 34, let alone 42 ha ha.
